I saw this couple waiting for a stop light and I wanted to take their photo to remember them but with an 85mm lens it's a little obvious so I noticed that the restaraunt at the corner that was full of plants had a broken window but reflected their image even so. Of course, they didn't realize I was taking a photo of them because I was aiming towards a semi dark restaurant (it wasn't open yet for dinner so there was min. lights on)

This is a reflection of a few buildings in the Rolex building glass. The glass is alternately highlighted by a polarization effect- the splotchiness on some of the panels. The effect is also visible on car windows when you wear polarized sunglasses- the coating on the glass polarizes reflected and refracted light, thus becoming visible when another polarizer is brought into the picture.

A fiery sunset engulfs the western horizon on a surprisingly warm Groundhog's Day afternoon while driving eastbound on Missouri Highway 9.

This birdbath sits on a retaining wall in our side yard. The birds and animals frequently use it for both drinking and bathing. It's fun to watch them through our kitchen and dining room windows. I had just finished cleaning and refilling it when these reflections caught my eye. I thought they were worthy of a capture.

Admittedly, I’m a girly girl.. I love to put on makeup especially eye shadow and lip gloss.. maybe it’s the artist in me that loves to add color to anything. It just makes a girl feel all glam and it’s fun.

Reflecting back (did I just pun?) to when I was a little girl..I remember I used to love just sitting with my mom (in our tiny bathroom) watching her while she got all beautified…. My mom has the most striking emerald eyes and I loved watching her doll them up with pretty shadows and mascara. I don’t think there was a day that went by where I didn’t beg her to wear lip gloss too. My mom always made me feel so purdy and special when she would allow me to be just like her with sparkly lips to match. It’s funny how looking at your own reflection brings you back to moments like these.. I’m grateful for each and every one.

If you've been following along with me, you know I love my autumn watery reflections... Didn't find some like I had in years past, but I did particularly like this one covered in "confetti"

Funny perspective in this one... The boat is a regular small boat irl but here it looks like a toy. The bench is normal size but in the photo it looks like furniture in a doll house.

//Pray don't find fault with the man who limps

Or stumbles along the road

Unless you have worn the shoes that hurt

Or struggled beneath his load

There may be tacks in his shoes that hurt,

Though hidden away from view

Or the burden he bears, placed on your back,

Might cause you to stumble, too.

Don't sneer at the man who's down today

Unless you have felt the blow

That caused his fall, or felt the same

That only the fallen know.

You may be strong, but still the blows

That were his, if dealt to you

In the self same way at the self same time,

Might cause you to stagger, too.

Don't be too harsh with the man who sins

Or pelt him with words or stones,

Unless you are sure, yea, doubly sure,

That you have no sins of your own.

For you know perhaps, if the tempters voice

Should whisper as soft to you

As it did to him when he went astray,

'Twould cause you to falter, too.//
