Sometimes the simple pictures seem so easy but I have waited many hours by Red Pandas just in the hope they would wake up and move..... At last!
These unusual flowering plants were seen along the banks of the River Thames in Maidenhead. I thank my mother for providing the name for these plants whilst walking with me from Bourne End to Maidenhead following the Thames Path.

I used my 500mm lens because I like the effect, but you don't need a lens like that... see below.... sorry Nigel I couldn't resist!
Call me slow, but I've only just realised you can comment on a picture without actually opening it......... definitely a backwards step IMO... I had been wondering how faves and comments appeared without any views! Now they've changed the way views are counted as well, apparently guessing that we wanted to see something, though it may have just been one of many pictures on a page in a group etc. Definitely dodgy......And those people doing that won't even see that I've written this, or any other explanation that goes with a picture, so they won't even know that I've explained that this is NOT A WILD SQUIRREL.

A bright red anthurium seen at the San Francisco Conservatory of Flowers, Golden Gate Park. Aside from the flower, I was drawn by the repetition in the shape of the leaf and flower.
The battery in my camera had just died, so my husband was kind to lend me his for a few shots. Have to get a second battery for that camera!
