Lake Mungo, dried-up lake and archaeological site in west-central New South Wales, Australia, located in and around Mungo National Park. Lake Mungo is one of 17 dried Pleistocene Epoch (about 2.6 million to 11,700 years go) lake beds in the Willandra Lakes region, which was designated a World Heritage site in 1981.
Lake Mungo, which dried up about 14,000 years ago, became one of the world’s most important archaeological sites when geologist Jim Bowler unearthed the remains of a young Aboriginal woman in 1968. The bones of the skeleton, referred to as Mungo Lady, had been burnt before burial, making them the world’s oldest evidence of cremation and ceremonial burial. In 1974 Bowler discovered the complete skeleton of a man, known as Mungo Man. Carbon-14 dating indicated that these remains were approximately 40,000 years old, meaning that Mungo Lady and Mungo Man were the oldest human remains found in Australia to that date.
The Laugavegur is a famous trekking route in South-West Iceland from the hot springs area of Landmannalaugar to the glacial valley of Þórsmörk . It is noted for the wide variety of landscapes on its 55 km (34 mi) path. The route is typically completed over 2–4 days with potential stops at the mountain huts at Hrafntinnusker, Álftavatn, Hvanngil and Emstrur. An ultramarathon is held on the route each July. It is possible to combine the trek with the Fimmvörðuháls route which goes over the pass from Þórsmörk to Skógar for an additional one or two days or an additional 25 km (16 mi). Landmannalaugar, Þórsmörk, and Skógar are all reachable by bus during the summer. A bus from Hella connects with Álftavatn once a day during the summer.
I have been passing these trees regularly, now, for perhaps a year, and their forms still catch my attention, every time. Here on a frosty morning, looking past the tree into a bright sky.

Bon ! On repart sur du classique et on va en profiter pour faire un petit bilan de cette première session de modeling avec les filles. Bha franchement, c'était trop cool ! Elle comme moi on a adoré l'expérience et on en a déjà prévu un autre mais cette fois en extérieur, on a quelques idées ça sera la surprise. J'ai d'autres filles qui sont aussi open et je vais essayer de temps en temps de rajouter du coup des portraits.
Le résultat est bien au dessus de ce que je pouvais en attendre et pourtant je suis un gros perfectionniste. Franchement, j'adore les photos qu'on a faîte, j'en suis hyper fan (oui, de mes propres œuvres mais ça c'est tout moi, je suis mon meilleur public et ma pire critique).
Du coup, on passe les 125k vues. C'est pas mal ! Plusieurs photos ont dépassé les 1000 vues et ça parfois en seulement 3 jours. Ça commence à devenir sportif !
J'ai des randos de prévues aussi qui vont tomber très bientôt et d'autres surprises avec des lieux assez atypiques. Le Portugal au festival Boom cet été, Bordeaux après etc etc.. Bref... la Vida Loca quoi ! Ça sert à ça la vie, à en profiter au max ! C'est la meilleure réponse que l'on peut offrir à l'existence !

- Et elle s'est foutu de ma gueule.... Elle a été prise d'un fou rire nerveux. J'ai pété mon trépied en plus. *hausse les épaules*. Elle comprend pas l'art, j'y peux rien.
- Et du coup vous l'avez mise à moitié nue pour faire ces jolies photos que nous voyons là ?
- Ouais, ouais... mais ça on s'en fout. Imaginez là un peu avec la perruque que je lui avais faite moi-même d'une serpillère que j'avais bombé en noir mat en train de regarder l'appareil tout en mangeant une banane. 2000 vues en 20 min ça !
-Ouais... ou une plainte pour atteinte à la dignité humaine, non ?
- Non... Je verrais pas pourquoi. J'avais déjà le titre et tout "Chee-ki-Tah !" ...
- Elle est très belle comme ça, non ? Le "plus" et parfois l'ennemi du bien ne dit-on pas ?
- Ouais... bof. Pas mal mais pas autant que si elle avait enfilé le costume que je lui avais fait en sac poubelle. Sérieusement, c'est pas pour me vanter mais quand je l'ai essayé avec la perruque et que je me suis regardé dans le miroir bha c'était la planète des singes quoi.

As we walked back to the car, we couldn't help but notice this root system reaching out from a tree right on the shore. The roots were reaching for land like they were holding on to the shore for survival. Me being stupid had my lens set to 5m and out was struggling to get focus. This is 3 images stacked and still the close area is not in focus. Pays to learn your gear!!! Doh......Kris...
