The dogwood tree in our yard is so tall, and the flowers are all at the top of the tree, so I had to use my long lens to capture them.
Golden morning light hitting this bough that ws reaching over a seasonal lake, usually dried by the end of summer. Reflections of the tree line on the opposite bank giving some nice colours and patterns to the background.
Bit different for me...probably will be a waterfall here tomorrow

The weather was shower off and on with sun breaks, so yesterday, I shot in our yard. Fortunately, the birds responded well to each sun break, becoming quite active during each. This Townsend's warbler made repeated visits to our plum blossoms, affording multiple occasions to capture him. This specific move was repeated a few times: perching on a branch, then fluttering to reach for another, but returning to the perched position on the original.

Lagoa das Sete Cidades is a twin lake situated in the crater of a dormant volcano on the Island of São Miguel in the archipelago of the Azores, Portugal. This large caldera formed two lakes that are ecologically different, connected by a narrow strait, which is crossed by a bridge.
The deepest part reaches the 30 meters, and is the island most important fresh water supply.
A wonderfully clear day with scudding clouds flying along on a brisk wind. Combine that with a mirror like expanse of beach and they are my perfect conditions for lifting the gloom of dreary days. Loneliness was never as much fun. Reaching is by Jeffrey Lewis. It was just a question of waiting for the clouds to reach me.
