Experimenting with my SBIG STL-11000M CCD. Wanted to see if I image the moon with my gear. 0.01 sec shot at -15 C via RCOS 10" This is not exactly a planetary scope, but the results turned out ok. It filled the frame :)

A pair of RCO-equipped SD40-2's shove a cut of empty spine cars from Midway Yard to Union Yard along BNSF's Midway Sub at St. Anthony. 4/17/21.

An RCO-equipped SD60M-SD40-2 pair are seen here on the South Hump Lead as they shove another cut over the hump at BNSF's Argentine Yard while BNSF train Y-KCK1161-30A can be seen in the background on the left working Turner, using Main Track 5 of the BNSF Emporia Sub for head room.

The BNSF SD60M No. 1476 was originally built as BN No. 1991 in March of 1991, painted in a patriotic red, white and blue paint scheme as a tribute to troops that served during Operation Desert Storm. It retained that paint scheme for a few a years after the merger with the Santa Fe in 1995, until it had an overhaul at the Livingston Rebuild Center at Livingston, MT in May 2000, where it received a new coat of Heritage II paint and was renumbered to 9299.

It was later renumbered again to 8199 to make room for new SD70ACe delieveries, and it was eventually repainted into Heritage IV colors and became RCO-equipped, working as a bowl trimmer here at Argentine. It was renumbered yet again as 1476 to make room for new ES44C4's, and had been moved elsewhere on the system for a few years before returing to Kansas City again to work as one of the hump engines. 4/30/22.

On the Hump Lead Track 2099, one of the four SLSF SD38-2s along with an SD40-2 works a remote hump job as they shove another cut over the hump at BNSF's Argentine Yard in Kansas City, KS.

Built for the Frisco as an SD38-2 in 1979, it was rebuilt to an SD38-2P and mated to a TEBC6 slug some time after the BN merger. Today, still dressed in it's BN "whiteface" paint scheme, it's still working on RCO hump jobs well after the ATSF merger, but it's no longer paired with a slug like it had been for years. Originally working the hump at Tulsa, it came here in the late 1990s. 5/5/20.

Kind of reminds me of "Back To The Future" railroad style. Not sure who claims ownership of the RCO unit but it stands out like an outhouse in the fog.

JAGUAR SET

Jaguar entered the middle-weight executive sports saloon market, then occupied by such cars as the stately Humbers, the bulbous Standard Vanguard and the heavy Rover P4 in 1955 with the arrival of the 2.4 litre their first small saloon since end of its 1½ and 2½ Litre cars in 1949. ts designation Mark 1 was added in October 1959 following its replacement by Jaguar's 2.4-litre Mark 2 Although having a family resemblance to the larger Mark VII, the Mark I differed in many ways. It was the first Jaguar with unitary construction of body and chassis. The independent front suspension featured double wishbones, coil springs, telescopic dampers, and an anti-roll bar, all carried in a separate subframe mounted to the body by rubber bushes

The interior was of similar design to the contemporary Jaguar saloons and sports cars, with most of the dials and switches being located on the central dashboard between the driver and passenger. This arrangement reduced the differences between LHD and RHD versions.

Initially only offered with a 2.4 Litre short-stroke version of the XK120's twin-cam six-cylinder engine, first rated at 112bhp net by the factory at the launch in 1955. From February 1957 the larger and heavier 3.4 Litre 210bhp (gross) unit already used in the Jaguar Mark VIII also became available, chiefly in response to demands from Jaguar vital US market. Wire wheels became available. The 3.4 had a larger front grille for better cooling, a stronger rear axle and rear-wheel covers (spats) were cut away to accommodate the wire wheels' knock-off hubcaps. The 2.4 Litre was also given the larger grille. In September 1957 a three-speed Borg-Warner automatic transmission (previously an export-only option) became available with either engine, and Dunlop disc brakes for all four wheels were made available as an optional extra on all Jaguar models except the Mark VIII saloon

Many thanks for a fantabulous
