The rising sun started to shine throug a line of trees on this cold and misty morning. The sunrays broke up the mist pretty fast and started to melt the hoar on the field.

Radiance often emerges from the greatest darkness. Hold fast to it!

Several textures were used.

A macro view of an illuminated 13W CFL light bulb, taken for the Macro Mondays group theme, "Radiant." The frame represents a span of 2½ - inches across.

The scene was illuminated by the bulb itself.

Lens: Tokina AT - X M100 AF PRO D(AF 100mm f / 2.8 Macro) with an FL-W filter (to add the magenta tones) and a Variable ND filter attached.

A wonderful morning watching day break on Mt. Rainier mirrored in one of the Reflection lakes.

Always brings me pleasure to step right back in to the frame remembering the joy I was feeling watching this grand show on this fine morning. Particularly during these long winter months.

I used the silk bag and ribbon from the presentation box of this tiny necklace to create the backdrop for the shot.

'Radiance' is a photograph of a Ranunculus flower.

Here's our Radiant male Anna's Hummingbird (Calypte anna) on a branch of our Empress tree.

There's a female still around, so it looks like they'll stay for the winter.

Barrow Hill basking in the warmth and light of a newly risen sun, surrounded by a mist that clung to the ground. I took many shots on this wonderful sunrise, the light from the low sun lit up the land and mist a golden orange. As much as I love a sweeping panoramic view of this little hilltop, getting in closer still maintains that gentle curve. Its mornings like this that make getting up early so worth it.

Red light from the end of a large display balloon radiates like a colourful sun in Melbourne's entertainment precinct of South Bank during one of the many promotional events.
