This was taken at the spectacular Museum London (Ontario) where the city's history is beautifully displayed.
I used to think of her as 'my tree'
but she's world famous in New Zealand ;-)
Still.. I can't resist spending time with her...
so I'm adding to a small series of images
I've made of her over the years.

This is another mood image in the series from the same island in the fog. There is just enough warm color in the scene to tell you that the sun was trying very hard to break through the heavy fog of an early morning.

Lake Burwain, Foulridge, Lancashire
Occasionally the rule of thirds really works with an image, this is a good example. In my younger days I used to race sailing dinghies on this beautiful lake.
Only the birds were on the move in Port Rowan. And they were too far away to hear their plans to fly south. I was lucky the sky at the horizon was clear to let the light show off the distant trees. Flickr maps got the name of this location wrong. It's not Port Royal, which is miles to the west of Port Rowan.
