A little village, perched on a hillside is preparing itself for a long winter. It holds everything which a perfectly quiet life needs, intimate houses, a small church, a little cemetery down of the road, plowed fields, the time of the day is close to sunset the colors are warm, and the air is full of the autumnal smells. This is my gift to the hamlet called Restegassi, close to my home, in Italy.

let's stay connected
In The Netherlands it is still allowed to go outside for a walk, keeping the advised distance (1,5 meter) between each other. Most people stay inside though …

This was shot a week and a half ago. Today there are no leaves left in the trees. So sad after such beauty and colorful sceneries.
I had little time to go out, this is part of the November series, when this path was a splendor, I hope you like it along with me ...

It was a cold, windy, dark day, and the park was nearly deserted. A pair of Sandhill Cranes foraged silently on the lawn at the beach area of Stony Creek Metropark, in SE Michigan.
Sandhill Cranes are very tall birds (40-48 inches; 100-120cm), with a wingspan up to 7 feet wide.

in the beginning of the luminous nights, a bird glides across the clouds reflected on the lake.../ Lugna timmar... skymningarna har blivit längre och ljusare, en fågel glider över molnens speglingen i sjön.../Horas tranquilas, en el comienzo de las noches luminosas, un ave se desliza por el lago sobre el reflejo de las nubes...(DSC_4260-2).
A friend of mine sent me an IPhone photo of his three little friends sharing a quiet moment together. So, of course, I had to play with it and, after a few creative changes, I hope that this image brings you a smile too.

Mondello, Palermo - Italy
Mondello is a fishing village with a magnificent white sand beach near Palermo, it is famous not only for its blue sea but also for its heritage of its numerous Art Nouveau villas that characterize the architecture of the place, making it an important point of reference for the history of international modernism.
These buildings (many by the famous architect Ernesto Basile) are among the best examples of Art Nouveau architecture in Italy and Europe.

White sails and off shore lights
We were passing ships in the night
Now I’m tracing shadows on your back
Like I dreamt so many times
Oh for so long I’ve been waiting
For so long, for a love like this
And I was so sure baby
I’d lost you for a minute but
There’s the sweetest
Spring at my door
Can you feel it?
Just the same as before
Many years have gone by
But I knew you’d come
Quietly keeping
This hope in my heart
Prayed the night bring
Back what I lost
Many years have gone by
But I never forgot
I’ve always been yours
Only yours
There was a time when I lеt you go
Allowed myself to be swayеd and pulled
But for all my days I make a vow
No words could ever shake me now
‘Cause for so long I’ve been waiting
So long, for a love like this
And I was so sure baby
I’d lost you for a minute but
I’ve always been yours
Only yours (Yeah)
