After a fun trip to the cruise night Roger and his Challenger, named Mt. Ste. Hemi, met up with his brother Otto and his Custom Otto machine. They grab a bite at Orlando's van in the corner of the Industrial Mall. Hey, here comes Marco !
Something I threw together as I sort out this growing collection and match up some figures for the open cars. Found some HO scale that could work.
A lunch-cum-evening snack.
While taking shots of it .. I simple couldn't resist and took a huge byte (bite, sp? This is what software engineering can do to you ;))
And yes I love black pepper ... loads of it on everything :)

The pork filling was spiced with cinnamon, cumin, clove, oregano, pepper, jalapeno, salsa verde and onion. Served with tomato salsa. I made about 50 of them, freezed the unbaked ones, and thought they would last a while. I was wrong. They were gone within three days :P

Orlando seasoned and packed the deviled eggs and tossed the chicken strips before the Mercedes pulled to his window. He is a machine and works fast as he enjoys listening to the little opera outside his van; " Ay, Paul. Paul ! Who owns this SSV ?! " Roger's voice cut through the lot. Paul wandered around his wagon racer and smoothed his fur, which almost matched the paint of the car, " The Holden belongs to Mr. Brokson, the owner of this establishment." Karl stared, aghast, " What the heck, is he wearing a fursuit or something ?!" " Naw, mate. That's him. He.." " The Pink Panther is REAL ??!!" Roger set a hand on Karl's shoulder," Right, his name is Paulshen. Ya wanna keep it down, mate ? ". Paul approached them and offered Karl a...hand which he absently shook. Then he turned to Roger, " Mr. Brokson usually drives the Lexus but likes to show the Commodore at the events. He's rather proud of it." Roger patted Karl on the back, " This is my hot rod buddy Karlton. We saw yer car there.."
Orlando snapped back when he heard the Mercedes' engine quietly rumble and shut off. The driver had been watching the drama in the corner and then turned to Orlando with a grin. " I would..." They were interrupted by Sharif's call, " Ali-Salah, sir ! How's the Miura SV running ?" The man was a study in patience as he gestured to Orlando for a moment to answer the young man, " The Miura is running perfectly, Sharif. Your father knows the Lamborghini well. Happy New Year, and forward my regards to the family." He turned to Orlando who greeted him, " I...believe I know you..."
Here are the yummy dumplings that were O-dae-su's fave in the 2004 extreme cinema classic "Oldboy." This spread costs 8,000 won (under $8 US) and the retro coke in the glass bottle is an additional 2,000 won. Yum yum!
Ha ha...( Crusty the clown groan) So, here are the players and props for this little tale ! Left to right: Hot Wheels Dragon Blaster, Hot Wheels Volvo 240 Drift Wagon, Hot Wheels Hirohata Mercury, Hot Wheels 64 Lincoln Continental, Hot Wheels Quick Bite, Matchbox Ram Work Truck. Most are sourced at Dollarama with a couple from Canadian Tire.
The 'buildings' are (l to r) soap case, Asus external CD Rom drive, CE CoRS battery pack stenciled with Smith & Long Inc logo, and half a coffee thermal sleeve. Setting is a window sill of a Studio 6 hotel room.
Can't wait to tag this...
Mr. Hirohata got hungry and parked against the berm so not to block Marco or Mack in. Workway Service Road is usually not busy but the roach coach is attracting a crowd today. Mack wandered down to look at the Merc; could this get any more wild ?!
No one noticed the Volvo wagon making another trip down the road...
Orlando had parked his Hot Wheels Quick Bite food truck at the alley behind Smith & Long and Asus where he gets the after work crowd. Mack saw the truck as he happened along the service road in his trusty Matchbox Ram Work Truck. He loves Orlando's spicy chicken dinners and stops on the laneway. There are ramps at either end but the diesel powered 4x4 makes short work of the berm !
It's New Year's Eve and Etobicoke's The Gun Club is hosting the big party ! The main lot to the north is packed so we'll slide over to the south doors, the Smith & Wesson.
Lots of activity here ! Roger in his Rodger Dodger Challenger spotted the Cruiser Bruiser Olds wagon ( it really stood out among the high end cars) and Karl in his '68 Corvette followe him in. " Ay ! Lookit that, Karl !" Roger pointed to the Holden VF Commodore SSV in the corner and headed for it.
Sharif and Orlando's brother Rudolf were moving sound equipment into the club for the band. He addressed the driver of the pink station wagon, " Sabine found a nice jacket that'll fit you. She'll be out soon. " The driver voiced his thanks in a quiet sophisticated voice. Rudolf chuckled, " The dude forgot his jacket ?". Sharif replied, " He usually doesn't wear clothes." . "A'ight then.." then " Hold up, hwaaat ?!"
Orlando is preparing entrées for the club and getting ready to help the kitchen while feeding the parking lot cruisers who follow his van everywhere, He noted a couple of unfamiliar cars, including the Mercedes Benz 500E now heading towards him.
Orlando watched the dragon enjoy their meal with fervor as he cleaned up and closed the truck. The custom car guys waved to him and went their way. Marco decided to back into the east ramp so Orlando wouldn't be rushed though Orlando had hit the west ramp as he rolled the Lincoln onto WorkWay Service Road, He caught up with the dragon's ride as it fired the turbines and decided to follow it for a while out of curiosity. The Volvo showed up yet again as she headed to an industrial lot where other drifting cars would meet and the police would 'look the other way' as they showed their skills. Orlando might check that out as he enjoys his dinner.
The Sushi Bar’s Ebi Fry Salmon Aburi! Each slice of salmon on top of each sushi was slightly charred, giving that unique grilled flavor while maintaining the taste and texture of fresh raw salmon. With the fried shrimp wrapped inside, it gives that additional crispy mouthfeel. This sushi roll is all about fresh seafood goodness.
