Just a few uncommon sights we saw during a walk around the neighborhood after we had finished shoveling our driveway. From families playing in the freshly fallen snow to city workers trying to clear walkways, it was pretty cool, but the sixties next week will be a welcome change.

yesterday there was a quick, heavy storm. after the first lightnings i took my tripod, mounted the 7D and ran out into the backyard. i had no idea how to photograph a storm. at a shutter speed of 3 seconds i just kept pressing the button and as a result i have 30 totally black picture, but also 3 with great lightnings.

Yeah, I spent too much time taking pictures of the sunset, so I had to grab a quick meal on my way to climbing.
This is a quick process of the Walther sunset Ray. Seeing was terrible and with the rising sun, didn't make it any easier. I have many more images I will process later:

Quick Quarter Quilt--Another test quilt which I made for the Eleanor Burns book, "Quick Trip Quilts." It is an extra long twin size made with 24- 1/4 yd cuts of fabric!
September 4, 2019 - My shore excursion this afternoon was the: White Pass Rail & Klondike Highway. "Presented in multiple languages, marvel at some of North American's most breathtaking sites with a coach ride through Skagway then on to the Klondike Highway and up through West White Pass. Here, you'll stare in wonder at the mountaintop's other-worldly appearance. At an elevation of over 3,000 feet, this lunar-looking area boasts 300-year-old stunted juniper trees and dwarfed spruces that only stand two or three feet tall. Once you reach Fraser, British Columbia, you'll transfer to the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad, a narrow-gauge "Scenic Railway of the World." Built in 1898 for easy access to the gold fields, the vintage cars have been fully restored, with large picture windows that frame the breathtaking panorama of mountains, glaciers, gorges, waterfalls and tunnels. You'll travel the opposite side of the White Pass, down into the canyon and chug into downtown Skagway where you can disembark for shopping before returning to your ship."
Love how easy it is to quickly sketch visuals with the iPad and Adobe Ideas. In this case, needed something to show how to create view finder. Something for kids to use when framing a scene.
I simply used different brush sizes and pinch and zoom, creating a quick visual instruction.
