Great Tit [Parus Major]
A lovely afternoon brought literally hundreds of wee birdies to my feeders at The Pixies.
This Great Tit waited on a branch for a few seconds, before darting down to get a peanut. Sometimes, they will sit and eat sunflower hearts but normally they just swoop in, take a nut, and fly off, then come back and repeat the procedure. Apparently, they stash their food for later.

Meet Doug, he is a family pet where I went to take photos of chickens, he let me touch his feathers and talked to me a lot, unfortunately I’m a little rusty on my turkey talk. I quickly learned gooble gooble doesn’t work.

They seemed like nervous birds. They would all get up and fly around in circles out over the marsh and land back down near the waters edge at Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge in Galloway, NJ.

To test out the bounce flash settings I was using my brother-in-law was kind enough to pause for the quick portrait.

A quick snapshot of the Dragon taken when I was working and he was resting on a scratchpost nearby. Autumn and Mondays clearly wear him out ! The blue sky outside our window only lasted a few minutes, not really long enough to convince the Dragon to interrupt his power nap.

During mating season, the Australian magpie can become aggressive and attack humans crossing its territory. Fortunately for this man, this swooping macaw was friendly and just wanted to perch on his owners hand.

Yesterday dawned very foggy so I grabbed my camera for a quick walk around the wetlands before starting work. The phrase pea soup described the gritty polluted air in London during the winters. Our air is not quite so polluted but there is a fair number of wood burning stoves with particulate matter. (We have one too). But there was much beauty walking in the quiet fog at Frog Hollow.

Finally it’s my last week of classes and then finally Christmas holidays! The Monday I’ll have two exams, but I’m more confident and I hope I’ll do it good haha also I really can smell Christmas in the air, I’m very excited about this, so here is a quick pic with my pretty Irene, we’re really enjoying a hot cocoa.
