This is a themed program for a play based on the TV show 'The Office." The assignment was to create a program that expresses the feeling and theme of the play without using imagery from the TV show, such as pictures of actors, existing logos, existing title designs, etc. The background of the program was made out of scanned pieces of paper and the characters were drawn by hand and colored using Adobe Illustrator. The rest of the program was created using QuarkXpress 7.

I've been using Quark 6.5 for quite a few years so I though it was time to treat myself to the latest version of this industry standard program.
I taught here for a while, up in the tower, when it was the London College of Printing. With the amazing Kathy Hilton (now sadly dead) I set up a 'digital newsroom' in the early 90s (before the web, you guys!). We filled a room with Macs and taught student journalists how to write and lay out publications using QuarkXPress (an app that I'm amazed to learn still exists!). I also taught them how to use the Internet for research (News groups, email, Gopher archives...).
