A wet area near Cagliari, Sardinia.
Un parco... fatto male. Un'area enorme che poteva diventare uno dei posti ricreativi migliori di Cagliari.
Portano la gente in pullman a visitarlo, forse perchè così non si vedono le brutture...
Ho trovato questa vecchia foto nel mio archivio, la qualità non è granchè ma giusto per far vedere cosa abbiamo e non ci meritiamo...
Quest'anno sarà difficile vedere le stelle cadenti Perseidi, a causa della luna piena...
ma è sempre bello ricordare le costellazioni da cui prendono il nome gli sciami meteorici.
A partire dal basso, in questa foto, si vede il Toro con Aldebaran, le Iadi e le Pleiadi.
Poi il Perseo con la rossa nebulosa California al centro dell'immagine. E poi parte dell'Auriga e infine, in alto, la Cassiopea con le nebulose di idrogeno, sempre di colore rosso.
Se ingrandite, vedrete che ogni puntino è una stella.

In questo parco si possono ammirare numerose specie autoctone o meno. Lecci, querce, corbezzoli, olivi, cedri, orchidee, faggi, magnolie, e anche l'albero della morte, il taxus baccata, le cui foglie sono velenosissime. Inoltre, vi sono molti sentieri, grotte e cavità naturali che riempiono questo spazio variegato. L'acqua è un elemento importante in quest'area e la percorre attraverso vari corsi che generano piccole o grandi cascate e ruscelli. Abbonda tutto l'anno e anche nelle stagioni più aride, resiste alle alte temperature. Nei periodi delle piogge, le cascate sono cariche e danno vita ad un bellissimo spettacolo.

The forecasters are threatening snow today in Northern Michigan. There is no chance it would stick if it does drop but it seems as though the seasonal sea-sawing may have begun. Time to batten down the hatches anyway.
LCQ Selfie
Our local arts centre has installed works of art 'in the wild' around the county as part of the Louth Culture Quest which can be played via an app.
We chanced upon one as we took Fudge for a walk this evening and I couldn't resist the temptation to take a selfie

It has been nearly a year since my last visit down to Kirby Cove for sunrise. Not being able to sleep I opted to get up early and head towards the headlands. When I left low fog was gracing the Golden Gate Bridge with both towers sticking above the fog. I was keeping my fingers crossed to finally capture that elusive low fog with burning sky sunrise scene. To my dismay the fog decided to retreat and disappear minutes after my departure.
Despite the receding of fog the leading edge of a cloud front made landfall and was primed to explode in burning colors. I initially started at Battery Spencer and was shocked to see the parking lot completely packed by 6am. With the fog sitting just off the coast I was worried it would make another inland push and hence I started off at the classical Battery Spencer viewpoint.
Again I was surprised to see so many photographers setup. There must have been >50 photographers all lined up waiting for sunrise. I snapped off a few frames but I just couldn’t quite sit still having to jostle for space. As blue hour was reaching its peak, Alan and I decided at the last minute to make a bolt for Kirby Cove. Not wanting to miss any of the sky burn we literally sprinted down the trail. Photo backpacks and rain boots are not the ideal combo for running but we made do and miraculously made it all the way down in 10 minutes.
Down at Kirby Cove, there was not a single other photographer as Alan and I had the entire beach to ourselves. Better yet, the “treasure chest” lay at the center of the beach and was easily engulfed by the rising tides. A few minutes later the sky began burning. Although the burn never reached full potential the colors and reflected light was still a gem to witness.

Quest'ultimo credo appartenga alla famiglia dei thomisidae e forse è un Xysticus cristatus ...
Uno di quelli definiti saltatori, che non fanno la tela, ma aspettano la preda tendendo agguati.
Attaccano la preda con la forza delle loro zampe e la immobilizzano con un morso velenoso che per noi umani non risulta pericoloso.
Sono detti comunemente ragni-granchio, (in inglese crab spiders) in primo luogo per la somiglianza fisica in quanto hanno le due paia anteriori di zampe allargate verso l'esterno come le chele di un granchio; in secondo luogo per la forma del corpo appiattita e spesso spigolosa, e inoltre per la capacità che hanno di camminare di lato e anche all'indietro.

Mi è venuta in mente questa poesia di Primo Levi, che descrive la disumanizzazione nei campi di concentramento.
In questa scultura penso l'autore avesse intenzioni diverse.
In quest'ultima cena di Emmaus, il pane non viene spezzato, diviso tra tutti. Resta intero sulla tavola, e intorno c'è una scena di morte.
Muoiono tutti : i poveri, cui non viene dato il pane, ma anche i 'ricchi ' che lo tengono per sé : si disumanizzano, il loro corpo, la loro anima si spezzano e anche loro muoiono perché in loro non c'è più umanità.
Almeno, questa è una mia interpretazione
