QR code as jewelry. I had etched this QR code and had it laying around for a while. This weekend, I decided to jewelrify it. :)
A special code left by a previous civilization, or someone else, on a spiral pathway in Chicago's Horner Park.
Inspired by a wool eye dazzler rug woven by his grandmother in the 1970s, Wilson made his rug with 76,050 4mm glass beads, taking over 1000 hours of artistic labour. The work speaks to the notion of digital arising from both human hands and new media. At the centre of this classic handwoven Navajo rug design, two central QR codes link to short videos that affirm the continuance of Diné cosmologies and ecologies as well as the multi-dimensional and interconnectedness with earthly, celestial, human and spiritual relations that Indigenous peoples carry.

the code links to an online news article from jan 2022 on t-online.de. It said that the FBI warns about qrcodes being used for phishing or for downloading malware

the code links to a verse in the Bible: A time to be born, a time to die, a time to plant, a time to pluck out what has been planted.
Not to disrespect the art, but origami is too dang quiet. Needs some music. Here's five songs from Abbey Road, embedded in a Husimi-Fushimi cube. Best used with Newpipe or some other ungoogly software.

Now I just have to update my 8 year old website before I give them out! I letterpressed these at the AS220 Print Shop. www.as220.org/printshop
You can read the exhibit description with any reader installed in your cell phone (I recommend QR droid)
The QR code @caseorganic drew on the plexiglass scanned successfully!
Behind the scenes of a photo shoot for a Portland publication.
Step 1: Figure out what you want to reference with your QR Code quilt. Consider your blog, a photo, a YouTube video or a fun message. Google QR Code Generator to access any one of the many QR Code Generator websites. Type in your link address, generate the code! This QR Code will take you to www.vancouvermodernquiltguild.ca
Step 2: Save the code as an image. Open it in Word. Maximize the size of your code image to print as large as possible on an 8.5 x 11 page. Print.
Step 3: Using a straight edge and fine tip black pen, draw horizontal and vertical lines, connecting the black squares. Then, create two columns to the right of your code. At the top, label one B for Black and the other W for White. Count up the number of black and white squares in each row and record the numbers so you know how many squares to cut with your 2" die on the GO! Baby Accuquilt cutting system. I needed roughly 200 squares of each colour.
Incidently, you don't have to use black. As long as you have contrast with white, I think any colour (except maybe yellow) would work. Best to scan a paper print out first to confirm, but many of the QR Code Generator websites allow you to generate your code with white + another colour.
My first attempt at it with the knitting machine, using scrap yarn. There's an error in row 3. However, when I increase the contrast between the colors in photoshop, it SCANS!!
Tell all the Truth but tell it slant —
Success in Circuit lies
Too bright for our infirm Delight
The Truth's superb surprise
As Lightning to the Children eased
With explanation kind
The Truth must dazzle gradually

Haga/Kasahara/Maekawa tetrahedron. (I made one about the same time, same crease pattern and all, but mine was not very good -- big seam across a face.) The paper, if you'd like to try.
This QR Code had been heavily modified and it still can be scanned !
I test it with the Quickmark app for HTC Diamond and it's good.
Does it work for you too ?
