North Korean trains are very slow and sparse, so they don't play a big role in the country's passenger transport system.
As the largest stadium of the country, it stands on Rungna Islet in the middle of the River Taedong. It was completed on May Day 1989 with 150 000 seats. It is the venue of Grand Mass Gymnastics and Artistic Performance "Arirang", wich wins popularity among the spectators.
As part of the preparations for the 60th anniversary of the DPRK, many buildings are being plastered or tiled. Much of this work is done in the most primitive manner by unskilled workers or by the residents themselves. Seen in Chongnyon Street, Pyongyang.
