to be waking up before 4.00am
to climb the hills when it is still pitch dark
definitely not something i will volunteer to do
not even if you pay me to do it...hahahahaha
but today i did it...by god will
it was a beautiful journey, tho' it's not an easy one for me...
but i think once is enough for me...been there, done that :)

Having deemed lifting the car and carrying it too dangerous, and a lawsuit waiting to happen, the group resorts to jacking up the front of the car and just pushing it.

Ashington batting, at Langwell Crescent Memorial Ground, during the early stages of a seven-wicket Premier Division defeat by Newcastle-based North East Premier League leaders South Northumberland, historically the competition's dominant force.
Impressive batting from Nikhil Gorantla powered South North to their emphatic victory. With the visitors 38-2 when the Durham University student came to the crease, Ashington, this 2023 season playing Premier Division cricket for the first time, appeared to be in a strong position.
But Gorantla, who has turned out for Essex Seconds and Cambridgeshire, struck an unbeaten 134 off 110 balls, including 17 fours and four sixes. To rub salt in the Mighty Acorns' wounds, the teenager clinched victory by clubbing a down-the-ground six. With Chris Hewison (32), Gorantla added 105 for the third wicket. His unbroken partnership for the fourth wicket with Adam Cragg (58 not out off 41) was worth 112. By the end, Ashington, for whom Matthew Collins took 2-57 from 14 overs, looked pretty demoralised.
Understandably so. Put in, Ashington stuck at their task, and 254 looked a decent score. According to regulars, 230 is the minimum required on a traditionally good wicket. Mitchell Killeen (52 off 75), Caribbean pro Jeremiah Louis (51 off 60), opener Jack Jessup (46 off 57) and wicketkeeper Jack McCarthy (31 off 30) contributed usefully. Spin duo Oliver McGee (4-44 from 15) and Lee Crozier (2-84 from 15) shared the bulk of the wickets. With the Ashington score at 146, Crozier removed batters four and five in a single over.

A BNSF ES44AC and an SD70ACe serve as DPUs on the E-DONRWM1-20E as the train heads north on the Front Range Subdivision.
I wondered how they would be attempting to get the buses moving again. Apparently plowing a little bit around them and pushing is the strategy.
BNSF ES44AC 6130 and SD70ACe 9178 are DPUs on the rear of a northbound unit coal train heading into Vaughn, Montana on February 11, 2010.
