Another picture from the lavender fields at Cadwell Farm in Hitchin - Hitchin Lavender. I hope to go back as soon as we have another sunny day to capture the sunflowers that have started blooming.

I know that snow can be very disruptive and cold, but I'm missing the snow. We haven't had any real snow in this part of the UK this winter, and are unlikely to have any. But this time next week I'll be in the Alps and there's plenty of snow there right now. I won't be taking my favourite camera with me though as it's not that kind of trip but I've dug out an old picture from last winter when we did have snow.
The title is stolen from Kate Bush's album of the same name, which I've been listening to a lot this weekend whilst reminiscing over old photos.

This morning seemed an appropriate time to break out one of our frozen concord grape pie fillings we made back in September. A little taste of the dog days of summer here in freezing January.
I'm glad Duncan thought to wear his grape colored teeshirt to put the pie in the oven...

I've been away for nearly a week now, I was at Glastonbury Festival which is a huge music and arts festival. Glastonbury is the largest greenfield music and performing arts festival in the world with 177 000 people attending this year. I have many, many photos I took whilst there and will be putting some of them on my photostream over the next few days.
This picture was taken on sunny Sunday, I saw these bright purple flowers in the Green Futures field so just had to get a shot for Purple Tuesday!

Sometimes things just work out so right. I was pretty down in the dumps today when what should appear in the mail but a goodie box from my bro and fam. And in it was this beautiful necklace that niece Kris made for me out of Mom's assorted costume jewelry! And today is Purple Tuesday! And I was already wearing a purple sweatshirt! Isn't life sometimes just GRAND like that? Thanks, sweetie! ♥HPT♥

Some performance artists in the Cabarat Field at Glastonbury Festival. I don't really know what they were or what they were doing but they were very striking looking. They would move very slowly into a pose then stay still for a while before moving into another pose. They all moved independantly to each other too. I think there were about 8 of them in total. Very bizarre but very glastonbury.

These little purple flowers are rambling all over our steps, paths and walls. Lucikly I like the rustic garden look. I think they're Campanula, but very little ones. I thought I'd use Purple Tuesday to test out some new film I've got.
