I got so many of this kind of shot, one of many ambitions realised on the most amazing vacation ever, with the most awesome person I've ever known! Both of us shot these guys for the longest time. Such fun!
We did it! We saw it all. We got the job done.
Made some homemade donuts yesterday when there was like 20 inches of snow on the ground. These things are pure awesomeness.

Today was one of those days where probably everything is just - sorry for the word - shit.
Of course everything is shit, when I look at my timetable and see I'm having English today. Don't get me wrong. I love the language but when I think about my teacher I just get agressions. He calls himself a linguist and makes mistakes a 5th grader wouldn't make. For example: "You was good" and "Who teacher".
Today I got my exam back, hoping he would at least be able to correct something which is written but - of course - he isn't. Could've expected that.
Last year my english teacher was way better. She really knew what she was talking about and then, this year everything had changed. A complete jerk is standing in front of the class talking in a language I used to love and ruins it!
I don't want to say I'm perfect. I know I make mistakes but he "corrects" things which are not even wrong! That makes me so mad! He comes to me saying "you have liguistic deficits". If I'm having them - and that's a big if - without studying this at a University for 5 years or something, what does he have?
That's enough for now. I had to write it down and to take a photo because this guy makes me so angry. >.<
One of the last Cosmos blooms before I pulled them up for this year while preparing for fall. I sure got the bang for my buck for $1.79 worth of seeds that I just sprinkled on the ground in early spring!

Greek mythology THE AETOS DIOS was a giant, golden eagle which served as Zeus' personal messenger and animal companion. According to some, the eagle was once a mortal king named Periphas, whose virtuous rule was so celebrated that he was came to be honoured like a god.
Celtic Mythology The Golden Eagle - The Golden Eagle once symbolized the soul…signifying resurrection and rebirth…the power of life over death. It also represented a metamorphosis or change of spirituality on all levels. Now almost extinct in Britain, this magnificent Bird is seldom seen except in the North of Scotland. Scottish Highland Chieftains still wear three golden-eagle feathers in their bonnets to proclaim their high rank. The Druids were believed to have the ability to change into the form of all birds and beasts, but among their favored choices was the Eagle, as well as the Raven and the Crow.

AMOUR FOU is a "romantic comedy" based loosely on the suicide of the poet Henrich von Kleist in 1811.
He was by far the most important North German dramatist of the Romantic movement. I did add the colours I prefer!
This is a photo of a series that originated during the last night of our visit to Tromsø, Norway.
The aurora forcast for that last night was very promising, but unfortunately the sky was overcast and the hourly forecast didn't predict clear sight until midnight. Thrilled about the amazing northern lights we already saw the nights before, we wanted to try our luck again and see it one more time. So we went out around midnight to hunt the aurora at one of our favorite places and yes the sky really cleared up. We wished the aurora forecast would come true, but far and wide no aurora borealis in sight. After more than three hours of waiting and changing locations now and then to warm a bit up in our car, we just saw once a small green shimmer at the horizon. A bit disappointed we decided to head back to Tromsø. We stopped again at our last favourite place on the route back to wait one more time for the aurora.
And then - finally - around four o'clock in the morning the aurora started to appear, weaker and stronger phases alternated. And then as if someone pushed the button: the aurora was so vibrant and fast changing, much stronger than what we experienced the nights before. I was so excited and overwhelmed by the beauty and intense of that spectacle, I nearly forgot to point the lens up into the sky and try to capture this phenomenon of nature. Then after about 45 minutes it started to slow down again and after a while we decided to head back to Tromsø, extremely satisfied with what we experienced, and well knowing how very lucky we were that night. Back in Tromsø there was time left for a two hour nap before we had to catch our flight back home.
Man, that was worth every minute of wait and chill!
See more northern light impressions in my Aurora Borealis Album, hope you enjoy!
