365_ 362 Ljubljana, Mestni trg (town square). Another easy-way-out-shot. Framing is a bit ...... but with Joby I can only do as much. The bright burned out white on the left is part of some kind of performance. There's a lot going on in Ljubljana at this time of the year. I regret not having time to shoot the stalls as well. Anyhow. There are music performances, art performances (I watched a puppet show one day) and of course the lights :-)) yes, the Christmas lights overload. Elli, I took you seriously :-)))
This was parked on the corner of Water Tower, it was a puppet stage attached to the back of a bike. The thing was totally portable which was amazing.

Puppet Show Shorts in 3T. The chambray is from Robert Kaufman's Chambray Union.
You can read about these and other shorts here.
Made in a size 5T. I wish the colour would show up properly, it comes up as a pink but is actually a lovely primary red.
The fabric used was taken from an old mens shirt that belonged to my dad. It is a brushed waffle cotton and is super soft.

One view from the back side of an Indonesian shadow puppet exhibit when kids were on stage playing with the puppets. I was photographing them on the opposite side through a gauzy fabric material. The light colors and patterns changed continuously making for a wide array of photo opportunities.
Traditionnal puppets, seen from backstage, the audience on the other side will ony see the shadows.

Puppet Show: The show must go on. The clouds didnt look great that day. But these clouds were good enough to be the curtain to the puppet show :)

size 6 months. and boy were those tiny sleeves tricky to sew on, i need to remember that while knitting small things is easier, sewing them is harder.
gift for a friends new baby.
still needs the back closure, pattern calls for buttons but i am thinking about pearl snaps instead.
We took a bizarre triangular space and converted it into an opportunity for fun. Enjoy a production directed by your child as you sit in the adjoining toy room. Either that or make the space into a purposeless hole for storing things you should probably donate or throw.
I made this puppet show tunic a couple of years ago. My 6 year old enjoyed it for a while. My 4 year old wore it as a dress last year and now as a tunic. I think it's still my fave thing that I have sewn, I'll be sad when it no longer fits my munchkin.
An interesting site as we walked down the street in Jianyaun. We heard this puppet show before we saw it, as the audio was blaring quite loudly from the speaker below the stage. It sounded like the public address address in the movie 1984, except in Chinese!
