oddly self-absorbed, making and then performing with a puppet of oneself. Sadly this didn't lead to an adequate show.
Due to the world pandemic we're facing right now, entertaining our kids inside can be a hard task.
For the parents out there, here is a suggestion of something we could be doing with the young ones! A DIY LEGO Puppet Show to tell your kids their favorite stories, making up new ones, and also, letting them take the stage themselves!
I have two kids myself, and this has given us a few hours of fun in the last couple of days already! Try it out! :)

Size 3. Added length to the sleeve and lengthened the cuff to overlap. Collar, cuff & piping is black velvet. Houndstooth fabric acts like wool but is 100% unknown fibers. Blogged

We all love it, from the traditional Punch and Judy Puppet Show to sophisticated London's Little Angel marionette theatre. This lovely brooch is a stage of a puppet theatre showing the most cherished children story "The Little Red Riding Hood".
Every single piece of the brooch was crafted and painted by myself. Each piece of one theme is therefore unique and slightly different to one another. The brooch is sealed with two coats of gloss varnish.
The size of the brooch is 30mm x 30mm

The Todd Farm Flea Market was a bust (windy, cold, pissy sellers) so we went on a mini road trip.
Joe's Playland, Salisbury Beach, MA. We put a quarter in and watched them dance for a while.
A must do in Vietnam, this water puppet show features almost a dozen puppet masters hidden behind the curtain, working their very entertaining wooden water puppets, as well as several musicians entertaining you on these unique Vietnamese instruments. VND 100,000 was very well spent.

To get the classic look I wanted, I used white pique as a contrasting fabric for the collar and sleeves.
It´s one of my favourite dresses so far.
This was a wild one...not sure if I can remember everything..Miss Pussycat is at the top saying hello. Then we meet the cat and the elephant who are apparently tight friends (aren't all cats and elephants?) They decide to conjure up a magical pizza. It works. But then, another character comes along and conjures up another pizza (which may in fact be an evil pizza) and the cops get mad. They put kitty behind bars/in jail and he is sad. He hires violent lawyers who take force against the cops. The puppet show vehicle grows arms and has eyes and a mouth for a bit. Then, the cat (out of prison), elephant, and wierd other character conjure up another pizza. The End.
Yes, this is how I spent my Friday night.

It's just a Puppet Show.
And entertainment featuring ugly people with character flaws and little depth, drawn in bold, rushed, child-like strokes.
In high season, you can normally catch at least one performance per day, but audiences are dwindling in the twenty-current year.
The stage setting could do with more polish too. It looks a little amateur and you really do have to suspend your disbelief.

For Lucy. Size 4. Sarah-Jane 'Out to Sea' and Spotlight seersucker.
Shorts are her preferred choice for summer, and while she still fits her old ones (including her original size 2s), I thought that it was time for some new ones, particularly since she starts preschool in a couple of weeks.
Besides Star Wars and Disney stuff, another major influence during my childhood was the Muppets (including Sesame Street). We had a ton of puppets, and here my cousins and I put on a puppet show for the adults. I don't think we had any kind of script or story--just 5 kids with puppets. I'm sure it was riveting.
