This puppet was made with one of those promotional $1 scarves from Old Navy. I *thought* I could get a puppet out of one scarf, and well, I did. But frugal me, thinking, what would I do with all of those scarves if it didn't work, only bought 5 of them. See the tag? I repurposed the tag along with the fringe when I made the puppet.
Part of my collection of things from around Asia. And accidental photo revealed an interesting angle for this photo.
This is one of my mom's chinese puppets. They're rather small as you can see in the stitches. It are excellent models to work with.

The adoration of Our Lady in Mechelen goes back over 1000 years.
Whenever there was an outbreak of the black death or threat of war, a statue of the Virgin Maria was carried through the streets.
When this seemed to have a positive effect, the population promissed to have a procession every year. Since 1738, the religious procession of Our Lady (Hanswijkprocessie) is enlarged to form the ‘cavalcade’, a two and a half hour procession which includes over 2000 participants. This cavalcade is only organized once every 25 years
This is puppet, my new Dal. She come from " Make it own box". I made her make up and i'm proud of myself !
She calls it a finger puppet. All puppets are finger puppets. Daddy made this one and its name is "Mr. Stinky".
