Puppet is one of Indonesia's culture which still survive nowaday. Art of acting, vocalizing, music, speech, literary, painting, sculpture, symbolism, entirely contained within the puppet. It continues to evolve over time not only as an entertainment, but also as a media of propaganda, education, and philosophical understanding.
We had some big puppets that were so heavy that we couldn't hang them of the ceiling. These two were hung using hook and hooked onto the wall.

One of the original puppets from the movie "The Dark Crystal"...this thing was HUGE!
I found this at a flea market. It looks like a hand-made body and the head from the 1959 Casper Jack-In the box.

My brother and sister are rather creeped out by this puppet, but I love it! It was a gift from a missionary family...so great!
