Tammy & Johann displaying all the animal finger puppets she has made him so far in fulfilling last years advent promise. The list though keeps growing as he thinks of new animals for her to do...I must admit I'm not much help there.

A Wayang which is statue in Indonesian. The puppet shows are usually done behind a screen with lights so the puppets would make shadows.
Mike, Eric, and I started a puppet webcomic. None of can draw, but we have great stories. So we decided to use our hands in a different way :)

Puppetry dates back to Ancient Greece and became more common in Europe during the Middle Ages when puppets were used to illustrate stories from the Bible. Many different types of puppets were created, but hand puppets were traditionally used for shows in public venues such as fairs and marketplaces. The puppet pictured here was made by the Ganz company in the 1980s. This Canadian company was established by Samuel Ganz and his sons Jack and Sam in 1950. Every Wrinkles puppet had a unique handcrafted face and a personal dog tag number and came with their own bone.
Puppet Show is a famous tradition in Rajasthan and this one takes place in the Chowki Dhan during the evenings.

Anyone else have Pelham puppets as a child? I used to have the cat and an Andy Pandy, and a much later, somewhat scary, clown or Mr Punch or something.
