This Polaroid, aptly named "Barber Shop Pup," shows a whimsical moment frozen in time, presenting a small, attentive dog perched on a windowsill, peering through the pane of a barber shop. The photograph was taken from the outside, with the dog as the unwitting subject, creating an intriguing overlay of the shop's interior on the bustling street scene, a blend of private and public spheres.
The camera's settings were thoughtfully chosen to capture the depth and detail of this layered image: an aperture set to f/16 to maximize depth of field, a 1/60 second shutter speed to obtain a clear image while compensating for the light, and an exposure dialed down by one stop to mitigate the glare off the window. Capturing this candid moment required a blend of patience and timing, waiting for the dog to gaze out just as the world behind reflected perfectly.
Further bringing this image to life, the Polaroid was scanned at a high resolution of 1200 dpi with 24-bit color to capture the full range of tones and hues. Edge Emphasis was applied to enhance definition. In post-production, levels were meticulously adjusted to fine-tune the brightness and contrast, and Adobe Camera Raw was used to polish the overall aesthetic, ensuring that the image not only captured the moment but also evoked the right mood and atmosphere.

Took Dusty out in the Wayne National Forest a few days ago. This is were I planned on hunting her most, but she is still getting car sick. Even after being a little sick, she really did well. We were out 3 hours, treed 7, 2 timbered to dens, I let 2 get away, and shot 3. She needs to work on her tailgate pose, but she is hunting well for 6 months
