Of the 20 people who can fit on the top of Torreys Peak, they all got to hear and/or see Brett puke twice. Once on our way up, once on our way down.
Ever changing.
The faces are meant to represent a young personality changing, mutating, life experiences when we are young. Our friends and family easily influence us. What will it be? Do you wish to perceive your life through billboards and TV ads or the journey life that has taken you on?
The young can change and are easily deceived, but don’t take the imagination goddamn it.
I had a dream on the train whilst working on this. I felt like when I saw puking faces was that it was someone puking up a new face or persona on life. ‘’Where do I stand’’? ‘’Who am I’’? It was the same face but just a bit more experienced or hopefully knowledgeable of the world around them.
I manipulated the face to look like they are puking faces. They are meant to look animated. The blood spraying out I drew it with different brushes.
Renaissance Festivals/Faires favorites; Puke and Snot---"Hide your wenches & lock your children up...It's Puke and Snot!!!"
Mark "Puke" Sieve and Joe "Snot" Kudla - legendary comic duo who performed regularly at the Colorado Renaissance Festival in Larkpur for years. They also traveled to perform at other Renaissance Festivals around the country. I fondly remember seeing their act in Colorado in the 70's during one of my visits to see my sister, who was living in Denver at the time. This is a scanned 35mm print of a photo I took during that show!
Puke and Snot were famous for their mock-heroic swordplay act. Sadly, Snot died prematurely, at 58, of a heart attack. Mark Sieve has carried on, with a new partner, and still performs over thirty years later.
From a review:
A big attraction at Renasiiance Festivals. Toronto: Los Angeles, Vancouver, Denver, Orlando, Minneapolis. Wherever they show up, the fun reviews are monotonously the same: "Spectacular! Brilliant! Off-Beat, Hysteric Fun!" Outrageous, ingenius, universally appealing, choose your adjectives. And they do it without juggling, without music, without magic, without abusing small animals. They simply entertain, big-time. Remember vaudeville? You don't? Then remember the last time you laughed so hard your stomach hurt? This will be the next time.
Gargoyle in Manchester.....played with quick shutter speed with this one to freeze the flowing water.

The New Plymouth Fanzone installation will begin on Monday, but the resident shark in the museum is showing who he is supporting!
