Command teams in the 3SB competed in Provider Stakes, an event consisting of an ACFT, a stress shoot, sling load training, day and night land navigation and a 14 mile ruck march. 24th FMSU's CPT Thomas Souza and SFC Stephen Meertens were the overall winners of this event.

Nearly one hundred Local 99 members joined the Midnight Ride to Sacramento on May 8 to make their voices heard on three assembly bills moving through the legislative process that, if passed, will have a direct impact on their livelihoods and the services they provide:
–Summer Unemployment Insurance for School Workers (Assembly Bill 615): This bill will allow school workers to collect unemployment insurance benefits during the summer months.
–A Voice for Child Care Providers (Assembly Bill 641): This bill will allow child care providers to have a stronger say in issues that impact their profession and the quality of child care in California.
–A Voice for Classified Employees in Charter Schools (Assembly Bill 917): Currently, teachers and parents can sign petitions to convert a traditional school into a charter. This bill will also allow classified employees at a school to have a voice in the charter conversion process.

The 194th Combat Service Support Battalion, 2nd Sustainment Brigade, 2nd Infantry Battalion, participated in the Provider Fury exercise at Warrior Base in Area I during the first week of December. The situational training exercise (STX) lanes trained personnel tactical convoy operations exercise was a culminating event for the battalion, giving soldiers a change to put into action the training they had previously received.
It was a chance for leaders to see what the next steps were for their soldiers, making sure the battalion was ready to provide support that’s second to none.

Governor Kathy Hochul today honored eight Emergency Medical Services Providers who died while serving and protecting New Yorkers. The Governor also issued two proclamations to recognize May 21 - May 27 as Emergency Medical Services Week and May 24 as Emergency Medical Services for Children Day. The ceremony to honor the fallen EMS providers took place at the Empire State Plaza in Albany, in observance of EMS Week.
"Today we recognize the ultimate sacrifice made by eight of New York's brave uniformed public servants," Governor Hochul said.
