At the official opening of Vancouver’s Trump International Hotel and Tower. There were deliberate no-shows from some local politicians and community leaders.
Despite what the maps shows, the tower is on Georgia Street near Bute, not Robson Street.

Thousands of protesters and supporters gathered along the Embarcadero in San Francisco today to watch the official run of the Olympic Torch as it visited San Francisco and the United States.
Unfortunately most spectators and protesters were disappointed when after gathering for hours city officials changed the torch route at the last minute.
Rather than run the torch along the previously arranged route along the Embarcadero, according to the San Francisco Chronicle, the torch instead travelled from McCovey Cove to Van Ness Avenue where runners then ran the torch down Bay Street and Marina Blvd.
The change in route for the torch run did not change the protest mood down along the Embarcadero however. Supporters of the Olympics exchanged chants and shouts with protesters who mostly seemed to be protesting China's continued occupation of Tibet. Flags were waved and protest signs were carried in an overall peaceful demonstration.

At the school where I work in the inner city, many of the girls have their names tattooed on their arms to help with later identification. That's how prevalent assaults are and how deep the fear runs in families and communities around female indigenous people, even today. The stories are all-too common and horrendous.

Hundreds of people turned up to hear Jeremy Corbyn speak at a rally opposing Tory plans to weaken trade unions.
The Labour leader received a rapturous welcome from the crowd on the steps of Cardiff Museum as they waved banners against UK Government cuts after a march through the city centre on Saturday afternoon.
Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has spoken out against plans to restrict public sector strikes following a protest march in Cardiff.
He accused the Tories of "taking away the most effective means of securing better pay and working conditions" with the Trade Union Bill.
Mr Corbyn said he was "proud" of the work unions did trying to create a "decent collective society".
Around 400 people took part in the march on Saturday.
The Labour leader did not march himself, but addressed campaigners when they returned to their starting point at the steps of the city's National Museum.
Speaking from the top of a fire engine, Mr Corbyn said: "We've been through some terrible struggles, such as the miners' strike in the 80s."
He said workers continued to struggle in different ways, and defended their right to strike.

Not exactly sure what these guys are protesting about; there seems to be a number of issues in the mix, some local, some of wider applicability. I suspect there's a fair sweep of libertarianism in their approach, which I'm generally against, but they appear to despise Klaus Schwab and the WEF and that's cool with me. They at least have a right to have their voice heard.
