My maternal grandfather (who was very much into photography) and grandmother on the day that he proposed (in 1945?), in which he promised her "beautiful clothes and a beautiful home". They were married 2 months later.
She passed away three weeks ago, at the age of 93, and luckily I had borrowed this photo to scan when I saw her on Mother's Day this past year.
