The Bluebird has landed ! 66 713 is seen propelling the first set of GBRF HYA and IIA hoppers into Dove Holes Quarry (Peak Forest Cemex). With DB Cargo loosing the hopper work from this quarry to GB Railfreight and the train loading and shunting to Victa Railfreight its all change over the coming weeks. DB have retained the open box traffic but GBRF will progressively take over the hopper traffic serving six destinations (Salford Hope Street, Selby, Stourton, Bletchley, Washwood Heath and Ely). 66 713 arrived with 4Z51 12.31 ex Doncaster Decoy Down Yard and after loading its train would depart as 6J47 20.56 to Salford Hope Street Terminal. Eventually Victa Railfreight will have their own locos on site to load trains with 37 716 hired from DRS the first to arrive in early May. Initially VR drivers shunt using the GBRF loco arriving with the empties and then hand over to the GBRF driver for departure. So in the future GBRF's involvement will be hook and haul as will DB Cargo's.

PADDLEBOARDING participants are propelled by a swimming motion using their arms while lying or kneeling on a paddleboard or surfboard in the ocean.

This refers to traditional prone or kneeling paddleboarding. A derivative of paddleboarding is stand up paddleboarding also called stand up paddle surfing.

Paddleboarding is usually performed in the open ocean, with the participant paddling and surfing unbroken swells to cross between islands or journey from one coastal area to another.

GARRY POINT PARK:

Garry Point Park is large 75 acres waterfront park, located close to historic Steveston Village.

The park provides spectacular views of the South Arm of the Fraser River and the Gulf Islands. With plenty of beach and waterfront access, just bring your beach blanket, a picnic dinner and enjoy yourself at one of the BEST places to watch the sunset in Richmond.

The unique rolling landscape of Garry Point includes such features as Kuno Garden - a Japanese style memorial garden, beached logs and sandy beach access, expansive open areas for picnicking and kite flying, interpretation signage dots the landscape and a prominent public art piece - the Fisherman's Memorial Needle on the south side of the park. Additional heritage aspects in the park include a heritage moorage facility with buildings and docks at historic Scotch Pond.

At Manchester Victoria 40158 propels the stock off 1M69 the 1200 service from Scarborough on 31st July 1982.

Can't recall what the procedure was here, I can't see that it was authorised to propel all the way to Redbank CS from platform 11!

We had taken the 40 on the 220 mile round trip from Manchester to Scarborough, having had it out on the 0840 ex Manchester. It put in a memorable performance both ways. The fun wasn't over on arrival at Victoria however, as 40150 dropped on the afternoon Bangor (1545 from Manchester) and that was taken to Rhyl.

40158 as withdrawn in December 1983 due to life expired tyres and it was scrapped in December 1984 at Doncaster Works.

Model is the ever so beautiful Anais Samuels.

This girl is such a joy to work with. She was totally game for all of the crazy poses and ideas I had and never once second guessed any of it.

This week has been madness.

This fast, single-seat racer is inspired by the pre-war racers such as the Supermarine S.6B, precursor to the Spitfire. however, two machine guns have been fitted, so that this plane can easily be modified to a fighter if war threatens. This pilot is having some fun buzzing the local cattle.
