The Chrysler Pronto was I believe the original concept version of the production PT Cruiser which was initially meant to be sold as a Plymouth but then reverted back to Chrysler when it was decided to ditch the former nameplate. Somehow this overt slice of retro Americana was briefly popular here in the U.K. and a few can still be seen on our roads in immaculate condition by their proud owners. It was no surprise to see Hot Wheels bring out their own concept version prior to the launch of the real vehicle and although that was some 16 years ago the casting is still in use as can be seen by this one which I bought back in July as part of a new five vehicle set. The casting isn't anything too special, typical HWs really but its well finished and even suits the flame livery given to it! Mint and boxed.
