The two westbound IC&E's were stopped short of the diamond in Savanna,IL by a stopped blocking Eastbound BNSF across the diamond. The BNSF was not only blocking the diamond but he was also blocking a grade crossing just to the north of the diamond, preventing loaded grain trucks from crossing over the tracks and getting to the unloading silo's that fill the barges on the Mississippi River.
After sitting for more that an hour the conductor of IC&E 6217 called his dispatcher and requested he get in contact with the BNSF dispatcher and ask them to move the train so they could proceed. In the mean time, a third IC&E, this time a westbound, also was stopped, and grain trucks were starting to block the main hwy thru town. Now the local police got in on the action too. They called the BNSF and wanted to know what was going on and to get that train off the grade crossing pronto!
The scanner chatter was getting a little testy between IC&E, the police and BNSF. Seems there was a crew swap and the old crew left and the new crew had not arrived yet and there was no one to move the train. Fifteen minutes later they found someone to move the train off the crossing and diamond and things started to return to normal, (if you can call it that).

Como expliquei no blog , substituí o bloquinho de anotações tipo "hipster pda" por pocketmods sem nenhum template impresso.
Tenho usado vários deles, ao longo do dia, para fazer anotações rápidas e descartáveis, pequenos lembretes que serão úteis logo em seguida, etc... Na verdade, esses bloquinhos tem sido minha "Memória RAM". Entenderam o que quero dizer?
