Curicas preparando-se para "decolar", do topo de uma árvore seca, em uma fazenda nas proximidades de Bonito-MS.
A curicaca (Theristicus caudatus) é uma ave ciconiiforme da família dos tresquiornitídeos que desde a Colômbia até a região da Terra do Fogo, bem como parte do Brasil. Tais aves medem cerca de 69 cm de comprimento e têm cerca de 43 cm de altura, possuindo ainda um bico longo e curvo, pescoço alaranjado, dorso cinza-esverdeado e partes inferiores negras. Também são conhecidas pelos nomes de curicaca-comum, curicaca-de-pescoço-branco, curucaca e despertador.

Time to execute a long planned bash in the Nottingham & Mansfield area today. This is 18340 seen through the glass of Mansfield Bus Station as it arrives with the ‘Pronto’ Nottingham-Chesterfield working (vice MMC) for which I was waiting.
One of only a couple from what I call the ‘Cambridge batch’ which I’d not ridden on. Sadly sister 18341 is another, and it stubbornly refused to come out to play today. 18.4.23.
