Promoting study abroad—SUNY Oswego senior marketing major Tiana Morris (left) organizes and leads a panel presentation last semester for students considering opportunities to overcome financial and other challenges to study abroad. Panels, posters and student mentors from among study-abroad veterans are all part of campaign titled “I, Too, Am Study Abroad” that has won national recognition for the college.
The 3rd round of the 2013 Mullingar Road League 5KM Race, Fun Run, and Walk was held in Belvedere House and Gardens, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, Ireland on Wednesday 15th May 2013 at 20:00. This is the 3rd race in the 5 race series. The race follows a completely traffic free course around the trails and paths of Belvedere House. The race is promoted by Mullingar Harriers for the Pat Finnerty Memorial Cup. At this stage of the series all competitors now have an idea of their overall ranking in the league. Competitors need to run 3 races out of the 5 (any order) to be considered in the overall placing in categories at the conclusion of the league.
As was the case in the last two week there was a fantastic atmosphere as runners and joggers and walkers tackled the undulating course and a tough finish up the hill at the Jealous Wall and the finish line at Belvedere House.

Participants: Approximately 550 people took part in both events with runners, joggers, walkers, and families involved.
Weather: A cold bright evening
Course: This is an undulating course with some good downhill sections near the lake but also some short sharp hill sections on the trails in the woodlands.

We take these photographs as a hobby and as a contribution to the running community in Ireland. We do not know of any other photographers who operate such a policy. I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?
As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!
You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. Djuana L. Goodwin is promoted to chief warrant officer 5 May 18, 2023, at the Virginia National Guard Sgt. Bob Slaughter Headquarters at Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia. Maj. Gen. Timothy P. Williams, the Adjutant General of Virginia, presided over the ceremony and administered the oath of office to Goodwin. Williams was joined by Brig. Gen. James W. Ring, the VNG Director of the Joint Staff, to pin on the new rank. Goodwin was the first Black woman promoted to warrant officer 1 in the VNG in 2001, and she is the first Black woman to be promoted to chief warrant officer 5. Audrey Novotny was promoted to the rank of staff sergeant in the Nebraska Army National Guard during a ceremony Aug. 3, 2020, at the Joint Force Headquarters in Lincoln. Novotny was pinned by her younger brother, Spc. Benjamin Novotny, who also serves in the Nebraska Army National Guard. This is likely to be Staff Sgt. Who We Are
The UC Botanical Garden is a non-profit research garden and museum for the University of California at Berkeley, having a notably diverse plant collection including many rare and endangered plants. Established in 1890, the Garden, which is open to the public year round, has over 13,000 different kinds of plants from around the world, cultivated by region in naturalistic landscapes over its 34 acres.
History
A small garden of economic plants was established on the Berkeley campus on the site currently occupied by Moffit Library in the 1870’s by Dr. Eugene W. Hilgard (1833-1916), founding Dean of Agriculture . The University of California Botanical Garden was formally established in 1890 by E. L. Greene, the first chairman of the Department of Botany, to form a living collection of the native trees, shrubs, and herbaceous plants of the State of California, with the intent to gather in as rapidly as possible those of the neighboring states of the Pacific Coast. Within two years the collection numbered 600 species. In the following decade it grew to 1500, but then began to expand both its scope and collection to encompass plants from all continents and about 10,000 species.
The original official Garden was located near Haviland Hall on the north side of campus centered around a large glass conservatory modeled after the London Crystal Palace .

The State Employment Service of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Azerbaijan have been collaborating to implement the project on ''Promoting Employment and Innovation in Azerbaijan'' with the financial support of SYSLAB non-profit organization based in Norway and UNDP since 2011.
The goal of the project in Azerbaijan is to enhance job seekers' professional skills through trainings, contribute to the government's employment policy, boost the integration of young people to labour market, and decrease the level of unemployment and contribute to local/regional business development by providing motivated and competent work force.
Mary is a member of the National Institute for Intellectual Disability and City of Science 2012. She chaired the St Patrick's Day festival for five years, overseeing a shift in how the national holiday was celebrated.
