Constituents from Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq and Turkey came together in Jordan to discuss the promotion of decent work for Syrian refugees and host communities in the region, as part of a South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTC) initiative between the four countries, aimed at exchanging knowledge, skills, resources and technical know-how.
A two-day inter-regional dialogue workshop between the four countries – the last of a series of SSTC activities - took place following a study tour in Jordan. The workshop gave participants the opportunity to hear about different country experiences and compare achievements and lessons learned with their own practices, placing emphasis on the ILO Refugee Response Programme in Turkey , and in Lebanon and Jordan.

To promote the debut of the second season of Desperate Housewives, 14 people walked around various parts of Lisbon with a thought bubble that said “I must not forget the Desperate Housewives debut” with the date and time of opening. Among the sites chosen are places of sightseeing on Sunday, like Belém, Parque das Nações, and some shopping centers. On the second day, a day of work, the promoters walked through the means of transport at peak times, ie morning, during lunch time and evening time to exit the workplace. This original action was a huge success and has caused great admiration among the people who saw the girls and boys walking casually with the thought bubbles. The initiative was reported in major newspapers in Portugal.
