This beat up leaf was sitting on the mossy felled tree. This is a stacked focus sequence. Also I found an acorn to prop up the leaf. Lessons learned, get a better leaf, probably could have been better. I hope to try this technique again in the near future. Just need a good leaf and a good mossy area. Also found it fun to see there was a tiny spider i had previously missed

Promised Land, 2023 from my "Origin Stories" series using ancestral and found photos layered with my original photography, placing people, long gone, back into the landscapes they left behind; imperfectly overlaying time and space, past and present.
