University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. It shows a steel sculpture of the ancient legendary figure Prometheus.
Prometheus is a figure in Greek mythology. He is credited with bringing fire and civilisation to mankind. Prometheus also represents unyielding strength in the face of repression and the University's contribution of technological excellence to modern civilisation.
