The working most of Britain's enthusiasts went to see on Tuesday 9th of May.
Working the debut passenger service for the class, Direct Rail Services no. 88002 "Prometheus" leads the Northern Belle coach rake northwards along the Down Slow towards Lichfield Trent Valley on 1Z88, the London Euston-Carlisle VIP Launch Train for the class. One of the 88's diesel cousins 68022 "Resolution" can be seen on the rear.
Organised by UK Railtours, tickets for this service came in at over £190 per head!
Semiautomatic assassination rifle with silencer and foam-lined catcher. Middle part of trigger guard is removable for use with gloves. Scope is removable; reveals rails when taken off. Integrated backup irons necessitate splitting the rail to allow for the sightline. The pistol grip was raked enough to be comfortable for those used to older rifles and ergonomics were kept at a minimum to be less intrusive. Proved prone to jamming in the field due to catcher mechanism. The forward assist was a welcome addition following tests.
TK-625: "Um, what do you think you're doing?"
TK-304: "Just showing these guys how to make a campfire."
TK-625: "I don't think that's such a good idea..."
TK-304: "Come on, what could happen? It's not like I'm going to influence their history or anything.."
A long lost cardboard creation has been recently discovered!
My mother was cleaning out her basement, going through some old boxes of mine when she found this gem. Star Trek fans might recall this ship model as the USS Prometheus from the Voyager episode "Message in a Bottle". I'm not exactly sure when this was built, but it is very likely the last space ship model that I had designed and constructed from cardboard. Not too bad actually, with all the curves and intricate shapes that need to fit together. Judging by the paint job, it looks like I never quite finished, but it was close.
It needs a little work, but I think I'm going to try and fix it up (needs a few repairs), replace those button snaps with magnets (not sure why I went with snaps in the first place) and then give it a new paint job with my airbrush. Should be a fun project.
