It's been a day of sunshine and showers.
I spotted a rainbow though my office window just as the Interislander ferry sailed through it.

Tomorrow I leave for vacation in Wisconsin and so I'm using my new school backpack for my car ride stuff such as books and my DS and whatnot. Be amazed by its beauty.
Oh and happy birthday mom.
This mini-series of Little Planets taken on a trip to the Eden Project near St Austell serves to enhance the surreal nature of this impressive structure. Taken whilst on a short break to the area. This is a scene taken inside the Mediterranean Biome.
My friend's guitar project is nearing completion. It's in Gibson Les Paul style with the '59 neck which is thicker than on today's guitars. The fretboard is soon ready to be mounted and then it's time for the finishing treatments of all surfaces etc. His goal is also to wind his own pickups but that may not happen until his next project. Nice, isn't it?
Body: alder (al)
Body top: birch (björk)
Neck: maple (lönn)
Fretboard: brasilian rosewood

A small project consisting of setting up a shoot with random passersby and getting them to pull a face.
All participants where informed of the project and asked if they wanted to be a part. To see the rest of the project you can visit cambrils.tumblr.com/
Lighting is provided by a softbox umbrella camera right and a bare strobe for hair light.
My second '52' project for 2013. Sadly the View52 group are not continuing this project in 2014. My facebook group will be doing their own next year, so hopefully some of you will join us!

This was not as easy as I thought. There was alot of clipping and pruning that took place to get just the small glimpse of color that you see. I clipped the stems very short and unbundled the flowers allowing only one flower per stem.
Spinach leaves, mint leaves, Thai Basil and a tomato - all grown by me. The leaves were for putting in a recipe I was trying out. It was lovely.

Stranger #3/100
I'm 8 months pregnant and on my way home from a busy day of running errands, I had an urgent need to use the restroom (TMI?) and a sudden craving for some hot chocolate. I stopped at this rock climbing/coffee shop near home. Seeing as it had been awhile since my last entry for this project, I decided It was also a good time to look for Stranger #3. The environment was very relaxed and the shop wasn't very busy (since it is winter and most of the climbers come out int the spring/summer), so I felt comfortable approaching Eric, explaining the project, and asking for his photo. After speaking with him for a few minutes, I learned that his wife is also expecting! We're only a few months apart!
What I Learned:
Since it had been a few months since I photographed my first 2 strangers, I felt the pressure to get another photograph out there and may have rushed my creative process this time around. I noticed that I become nervous when photographing these strangers that I meet and become hyper-aware of their (and my) time. I usually take just a few quick shots and hope that I got something good. I missed certain technical things in my haste/nervousness in this shot. I need to remind myself that it is OK to slow down, it's OK to ask my subject to move to a better location, and it's OK to take the time to find the right light and settings. Overall, I am happy with this photograph. As stated above, I only wish that I would not have let my nerves get to me and that I would have allowed myself to slow down and get the shot just right. I'm hoping that with more practice, I will learn to control my thought patterns and gear them towards achieving my goal more effectively and efficiently.
Thank you, Eric, for being a good sport and being my Stranger #3!

At TEDGLOBAL in Arusha, Tanzania in June 2007, BETUMI: The African Culinary Network launched the Africa Cookbook Project; whose goal is to collect and house the world's most comprehensive archive of African cookbooks. The aim is to document and preserve all African culinary writing by Africans and others.
There are a number of tropical butterflys in the Rain Forest Biome at the Eden Project. They are mostly large & stunning.

Last weekend when I re-visited this "chosen one" for a progress report and update, I was expecting and hoping to find a hint of yellow, the first of the flower buds should be formed I thought. Instead, some Celandine loving beasty had recently paid a visit and munched off most of the young leaves and growing tips. Grrrr, another "Follow this plant through the seasons" project had failed miserably. Not so, for when I took another peak this morning, I discovered a pleasant surprise, Project 2014 is back on again....
my baby recently lost 3 pounds...which isn't a good thing for babies. His pediatrician was also worried. After a week of worrying that he might have serious health problems, it turns out that he just wasn't getting enough to eat....which is easy to fix. But there are too many babies and kids who are sick and don't have easy fixes...and my heart has been aching for them and their families. I'm so so grateful for my kids health and i so badly wish that i could cure all babies and kids from disease and sickness.

My last Monday at the Hyperbaric Unit and my last fresh set of pyjamas and cotton socks. When I put these in the laundry bag after my session on Friday I will be finished and can go home.
I've already said goodbye to some of the staff, those who don't work on Fridays. It will be good to go home but the people here have been great.

Today's project...trying to get ALL the Blythe girls in the Blythe room display cabinets! I had a collection growing on the kitchen table and other places in the house and they all need to be in one place because they are taking over! But I'm totally okay with that! Lol!!!
The second Project Stage featuring Turnaround Arts Artist DJ IZ with The DMI Breakers and Andre Davis & Motide was held at Hoyt Sherman Place on Thursday, April 25. It was an entertaining evening with arts with teacher performances from Tiona Sandbutlte, Champagne Harrington, Emily & Kristopher Rollins as well as student performances from Roots Capoeira, Harding String Quartet, Half-Pint Poets, Northside Spanish Club and The Oak Park Creative Writing Club.
On Saturday, January 16, 2016, Governor Charlie Baker attended the Project 351 Day of Service gathering at Faneuil Hall to kick off the organization's year of community service. Over 600 guests were in attendance, including hundreds of eighth grade Student Ambassadors representing each of the Commonwealth's 351 cities and towns.
Sitting down with WBZ's Lisa Hughes, Governor Baker reflected on the significance of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as well as the importance of civic engagement by Project 351's young leaders.
