All the window and door trim is done and there is screening in the windows.

There's still a lot left to do, but my god, I may actually finish it this year in time for chickens.

Gotan Project accepting a deafening applause after a rained out performance in front of Belgium's Royal Palace.

It's now complete..............well as far as I am concerned. It still looks a bit sterile in places, but I think I will call it a day. Question to myself, do I attempt to recreate the same place in the late 70s ?..........answer, probably not.

This was near the end of my stint on Prince Caspian, and I have a thick project beard in evidence.

Project 366-1 2009 March 17 76/365

This nest is small, no more than 3-4 inches across. I walked within a few feet of it and never saw it while the leaves were on the trees last summer. The nest builder wasn't opposed to a bit of man-made material.

Out on the buses today

Now that the inside of the house is 95% done, we've been working on the outside. We did most of the hardscaping and rock last summer but we've done a lot of planting, mulching and cosmetic stuff this summer.

Haven't had much time to take pictures, quickly took this one last night. Old milk cans and an old tea pot, I love old things.

I wish I were caught up on my 365.

Project 1:4 survey sheet contents

Instead of having a figure painting on a wall of patches and graffiti, I decided to go with a cleaner and more simple design. I struggled with fitting in all the concepts but I like the start of this and feel like I could push it a bit further. For my three media I used painting/drawing, digital, found texture.

This was a whole school project to create a welcome banner. The younger children each decorated a leaf with sequins and buttons, then created a bear (the school mascot), using fur fabric, google eyes and black felt. The older group created a fabric collage picture to depict an image which represented the school. They then chose a letter and sewed it onto a square.

When completed, the children's work was sewn onto a backing piece of fabric, then a piece of wadding was placed inside before the other piece of backing fabric was added.

Lots and lots of pins - turning a pair of very long curtains from my house in England into two pairs of curtains to fit two rooms in my house in New Zealand.

A tale of three flags. Today is a flag day in Finland: flags must be flown from all public buildings, and most private buildings with flagpoles follow this as well. Today's particularly important, being the day of the Kalevala.

Top left: looking down Laivapojankatu (near home). Top right: looking down Jaalaranta (near home). Bottom: Nokia Research Centre (my office). All in Ruoholahti.

(Not an overly windy day, as you can tell. The flag at work refused to co-operate. Also, apologies for the quality: I forgot my camera today, so these were taken with my N90 and later cropped to fit in the same image.)

The fear and loathing of project work.

Ryan still trying hard, but nearly had enough for the day.
