"Go Big or Go Home"
For Week 3's Project Runway Challenge the designers were asked to design a piece for a model on stilts for the first ever outdoor runway show.
For the EtsyMetal Translation:
Since this challenge was all about going over the top, this week make it BIG, over the top, larger and crazier than you would normally do, but still trying to keep it wearable and fashionable.
This BIG bracelet is made from polymer clay. It weighs a mere 9 ounces.
Thank you, EtsyMetal for letting me join the challenge this week!
Colorful swirly cupcakes. Believe it or not I baked these from scratch, modified to make rainbow swirls. It's from a cardamom cupcake recipe, which tastes good but looks bland. It needed color. Lots of color. I used about 10 bowls just to create ten different colors for the swirls. I think I'll try it again with an angel food cake recipe so that I can do lighter colors next time. The batter in this recipe was more yellow than I remembered.

I've made an enormous bit of fabric (1.50 x 3.50 m) from patched-together scraps of my fabric. I'm sending it off to Denmark today to become a curtain!
"Hey guys? Guys! This ain't funny! Get me down from here! Hey! Hello? Anyone there? Someone help me!"
Dang, Running low left on space to upload. I think I got like 30% left =P

have started a new project together. We will each be taking a photo every week and then emailing them to each other and displaying them as a diptric. Hopefully this will be a really great project as it will be interesting to see what the other has come up with during the week and how the 2 photos go together (or not, as the case may be). This is the first image, the left shot is mine, the right is Ian Lands'
Project 365 01/09/2017: Quite a busy afternoon with errands and didn't get much chance to take photos outdoor with natural lighting. By the time I got home it was already too dark. Looking for subjects I thought the dusty old bulb on the front porch lighting would look interesting in BW for today's photo.

I got the email about the new challenge while I was on a play date with my son. While I was there his friend had handed me a little color coded piano music book. So I had that in my hand while I was reading the email! So of course I knew exactly what I was going to do for the challenge!
Soooo... Can you sing it with me?
Row Row Row your boat, gently down the stream,
Merrily, Merrily, Merrily, Merrily,
Life is but a dream.....

People Project- I was digging through my files for some inspiration and I found a few images that I shot for my self-assigned "people project" and this was one that was originally color and it just didn't work for me, so I converted to grey scale and added a texture that I had shot of some lichen on a boulder...dodged and burned to taste.
This is a Cosina Auto Consinon 50/1.7, early zebra version. The zebra version f1.7 is a reasonably rare lens, but this one only cost me £10.22p. Its focus ring is completely stuck.
I was looking for another repair project....However, so far I've not been able to unjam the focus ring from the body. So it's currently swimming in WD-40, before taking a vinegar bath. And then the hair-drier treatment!
Why all the fuss? Because according to some users on the internet, this lens swirls more than a Helios 44-2. We shall see hopefully, someday.
I can't decide on this week's Project 52 entry! The theme is "negative space", hence the unusual crops (done in camera).
I'm going to have a little sit and look at them for a few days to decide, unless anyone has any strong feelings???
