Picture taken in a corridor of the Hospital San Juan de Dios, an abandoned hospital in Bogotá, Colombia, chosen as one of the locations for the Bogotá's Art Week 2021, an art event in which I worked as photographer.
Afternoon light from outside enters through two-centimeter hole in second storey window and projects upside down onto opposite walls.
The projection is a small fraction of the focal range visible from the window. If I do this again, I'll attach a fisheye lens to result in a bigger picture and block the light under the door.
Still pretty cool, though. It was surreal watching cars drive by in real time across the ceiling!
The shadow of great colossuses might be so small given a perpendicular light. Dont judge based on the length of projections but on what is left when lights fade out.
Alice Laing's artwork projected onto the Art Deco William Jolly Bridge. Unfortunately tonight there was some sort of fault and only 3/4 of the bridge was covered with the projection, so I have had to crop this image from one side. I would like to come back and have another attempt at this with a smaller aperture to get more defined starbursts on the bridge lights, and hopefully with the projection covering the whole bridge.
