This scan shows a not-entirely accurate portrayal of the southern section of the Friars Goose Crossing. This project was part of the Tyne and Wear Transport Plan from the early 1970s, designed as a modern crossing of the Tyne for traffic approaching Newcastle from the south. The roads proposed here relate to the southern approach to the bridge and which would have had a spur to the A184, but the layout is quite inaccurate. The actual route would've run south past Felling Shore, then turned south-east, curving around Heworth Lane to the north, with the spur to the A184 branching off.

Yesterday, students from Auburn Area Catholic School and St. Elizabeth Area Catholic School gathered to celebrate Catholic Schools Week. Father Alberto Vargas celebrated Mass with the group and afterwards, the students learned more about their faith through fun games and also enjoyed recess together.
More than 2,000 Catholic school students across the Diocese of Saginaw are celebrating Catholic Schools Week from Jan. 28 to Feb. 3 along with nearly 2 million Catholic school students across the United States. Catholic school students in all 13 schools across the Catholic Diocese of Saginaw are participating in the nationwide Catholic Schools Week celebration from Jan. 29 to Feb. 3. The theme this year is “Catholic Schools: Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed.”
“Catholic schools have made a tremendous contribution to the intellectual and moral strength of our country and, indeed, the world,” said the Most Rev. Joseph R. Cistone, Bishop of Saginaw. “Founded on the generosity and sacrifice of parents and parish communities, they have excelled due to the commitment and expertise of many priests and religious congregations, as well as dedicated lay faculty and staff.”
Catholic Schools and Catholic Schools Week
The week-long, national observance of Catholic Schools Week serves as an opportunity to highlight the contributions of Catholic schools to the Church, local community and country. In addition to the service projects planned, special Masses and fun school activities will be taking place. There also will be several open houses for families interested in learning more about Catholic school education.
As a group, Catholic school students perform among the top in the country. They have a 99-percent graduation rate and 94 percent go to college. Additionally, Catholic school students are known for the countless hours of service they provide in their local communities.

In another part of the Sovereign Nation of the Cocopahs, some of their businesses will benefit directly from the solar power project planned by the Cocopah Tribe. Through the Rural Partners Network (RPN), the Cocopah Tribe may work with the Department of Energy (DOE) to improve the Tribe’s energy independence and sustainability and reduce energy costs. Whether on their own or with DOE, the two-part project includes part one, an electric utility meter consolidation converting six small meters to one primary meter with a better Arizona Public Service (APS) rate structure, which empowers the ability for solar generation and future business growth with reduced cost, then part two, solar generation with the installation of a Cocopah-owned solar generation system to power the businesses fed by the new primary meter. The planned solar generation will reduce operating costs by offsetting energy charges from APS. The Cocopah Indian Tribe, home to about 900 members, is approximately 13 miles south of Yuma.
The Tribe, known as the River People, have lived along the lower Colorado River and delta for centuries. The Cocopahs descended from the greater population of Yuman-speaking people. The Cocopah will focus its collaborative work on housing and essential community facility development.

The A1 Grantham Bypass, as shown in this scan, was built as planned, but not to motorway standard as this map is suggesting. In the early 1960s there were all sorts of schemes planned and in progress on the A1, some of which were early sections of A1(M) and others, like this one, which were just standard dual carriageway bypasses.

Quite a minor scheme shown on this scan which didn't quite materialise as planned. Cowden Road loops around the eastern side of Dalkeith, stopping at its southern end on the former A68, now A6106. A stub on the roundabout points to the south and this map partially shows where that stub would've gone - crossing over the B6482 Easthouses Road, where it then would've almost certainly ran to the west of Easthouses on the obvious strip of land adjacent to Lothian Drive.

Student Joe Burgoyne writes on the whiteboard while other members of his Offshore Fish Farm project group, Chelsea Sun (back), Christopher Bower (yellow blue and white hat) and Gordon Fream look on during the Department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering’s NA 475 Capstone Design Course. The class is taught by NA&ME professor Matt Collette.
In the class, small teams of 4 or more students create, develop, and document original marine designs to contract design level. Projects typically involve a ship, yacht, submersible, or offshore system. Involves extensive project planning and weekly progress reporting. Extensive written and oral presentation of the project. Significant design CAD effort.

This strip map of the M27 has some interesting aspects. Firstly, the incorrect junction numbering, then the originally planned layouts for modern-day junction 5 and the missing junction 6, as finally the extension past Havant to Chichester which was subsequently built as A27.

Part of the plan for the M42's Lydiate Ash Link was to have slip roads connecting to the M5 junction 4 roundabout on its eastern side. The M42 mainline would've continued for a free-flowing merge with the M5 further north of the junction. This strip map seems to therefore get part of this plan right, but the vagueness suggests it may have just been uncertainty on the mapmakers' part as to their understanding of where the M42 would terminate on the M5.

Aden is an art studio/cultural center/idea hub that reaches out to people of
all walks of life from the center of Istanbul.
We use the artistic gifts the Lord has given to reach people with the good
news. The people of this country love performances of almost any kind.
Many national believers are interested in learning more about the arts in
order to use them to proclaim His truth. One young woman is attending our
visual arts workshop in order to improve her skills in order to paint
quality pictures that make others ask questions about God and her beliefs.
One congregation in the city wishes to learn how they can incorporate the
arts in their services using them as new ways to worship God and encourage
one another. Another group of national believers have taken skits with a
Christian message, and spent their vacation traveling and performing in many
homes.
The Lord has also allowed us to use our training to meet and reach out to a
unique group of people that often segregate themselves. They are all
gifted, often unique and at times eccentric. They are artists. We have
been working with several professional artists who are believers, as well as
expanding our relations with those who don't know the Truth. We have
several projects planned which will bring believers and nonbelievers
together while providing opportunities for spiritual conversation.
Please lift up the national believers who are striving to worship the Lord
and reach out to their communities. Pray for the artists in the
professional circles, as they strive to make the Lord a part of every
project they undertake, may they shine forth to their colleges and may Truth
be found in their works that are seen by large audiences. Also pray for the
events that are approaching, that the Lord would be working in hearts and
lives now and that He would use those events for His glory, perhaps adding a
few new members to the family!

I chose performing arts as my reportage project.
Plan A was to photograph a couple of bands either in the studio or on stage. But many bands, like "Flood Of Red" didn't want photos taken because they were "scared" that I'd sell the pictures to "make money". (yeah.. okay then.) And there was a few bands after that with more stupid excuses.
So last minute I came up with a Plan B, which was to photograph buskers in town and compare them to the band I had managed to photograph (The Morgue Party Candidate) and got good results and feedback.
So after all the stress of depending on others, I finally have my result.
A common sight on maps from the mid 70s and well into the 1980s is the more northerly route option proposed, originally for the M42, and then its downgraded relative, the A42, as shown in this scan. It would've gone to the north of Ashby, Melbourne and East Midlands Airport, right the way up to Nottingham.

REACH is a local NGO born out of a business school project Plan set up in 2004. REACH became an independent organisation in 2008 and Plan Vietnam has been there to offer support as the org has worked with young people around the country. From humble beginnings, REACH has gone on to do great things and now offers vocational training and employment for Vietnam’s most disadvantaged youths. This photo was taken during the latest graduation, which saw 120 students collect their certificates.
