Cables under flash; worst case scenario. The single-twist cables at the top are barely visible. Once again, socks are not mine, just a very convenient test case.

The AlphaSonic Mustang
Taken straight from the dealer to the paintbooth, this Mustang never had to experience life as an inferior factory looking pony. When Rick Anderson from AlphaSonic said he wanted to make this car “HOT” well there was just one option. I’d say the challenge was met. Jeff Mersey again comes through and this became one bad horsey!

The Esher Link Road was a route that would have run from the Esher Common junction on the A3, northwards to the Scilly Isles junction where the A307 and A309 meet. It was required due to the junction designs on the A3 Esher Bypass (specifically at Hook Junction) which would have meant much traffic still using the A307 through Esher town centre. It was never built, mainly due to the many very large and expensive houses on and near the route!

The Park Hills Civic Association organized a tour of the Wayne Avenue alignment of the Purple Line light rail project in March 2015. Staff from the Maryland Transit Administration explained aspects of the project plan and answered questions from participants. Representatives from the East Silver Spring Citizens Association, Seven Oaks Evanswood Citizens Association, the offices of County Councilmembers Hans Riemer and Tom Hucker, the Montgomery County Planning Department, the County Department of Transportation, the Silver Spring Regional Center, and the SSIMS/SCES PTSA also participated.
Each team member was a "human book" for the event. For this, each took a section of the overall project to discuss (as noted on their name tags): overview, project plan, marketing plan, and assessment plan.

Bay Terrace
Vallejo Heights
Vallejo, Solano
Architect George W. Kelham designed residences as part of the Mare Island Industrial Housing project planned in 1915 and built in 1918–24 to provide civilian workers' housing for the Mare Island Naval Shipyard. The district was originally called Georgetown but re-renamed Bay Terrace in 1920. The houses had varying exterior styles but were limited to about five floor plans. This is an example of a house with four three-room flats.
George W. Kelham (1871–1936) came to San Francisco in 1906. He organized the plan for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 and designed numerous major buildings in San Francisco and elsewhere.

The Riverhead project consists of installing a new half line up of 13kv switchgear at the Riverhead substation. This will improve the Riverhead facilities and make electric service in the area more reliable by increasing the electric capacity and strengthening the circuit. It will also help to reduce the frequency of outages and their duration if they do occur. This project is scheduled be worked on through October.
The majority of the work will be performed in the Riverhead substation. This is just one of many infrastructure improvement projects planned by LIPA to benefit customers throughout Long Island.

Strengthening the PLHIV Network is one of key projects of Plan Thailand. Helping those living with HIV/AIDS is very important as often they can be very low on confidence and feel alone and awkward amongst their friends. Ple is a 15 year old girl living with HIV who suffered from this problem but after 2 years of being part of the PLHIV Network she has begun to gain more confidence and self worth. Ple has now become a youth group leader to train new members in this project. More than 800 members have already been trained in the project. Plan established 200 youth leaders from the project in the past 2 years and registered 700 new members in 2011.

Much of the content in an enterprise intranet is documents. Documents of procedures, project plans, division and department policies, design document to, legal documents, etc. In fact this type of content completely overwhelms the content found related to corporate news, corporate communications and corporate policies. So how do you attract people to the content that is more important?
When people search for content, all content in the search results are not made equal and different techniques should be used to attract people to the content. One method is to provide an image or snippet of the actual content in the search results. Through semantic search, search should be able to determine which results should have an image, based on the quality of the snippet and the relative importance of the content. This technique means that not all search results would have an image snippet but rather a subset of the search results.
The two reasons why I came up with restricting images in the search results include:
By only providing images for some content, the search engine can help drive people to specific content. For example, content that is growing in authority but does not have the highest authority score might have an image snippet provided.
If all results had images, the search results would get over cluttered and the power of providing an image is actually a net negative, not a net positive.
To try to help the end user, I suggest that some images are provided and in other instances, the search results provides a way for people to click to get to a "preview" of the content. The image snippet would be a lower quality, less informative version of the preview. The images would attract employees to click the preview or go directly to the content, while the preview would allow people unsure if the content was what they were looking for a way to determine if the content is really what they were looking for.
And if you had not thought of it, the behavior of the image snippet and the viewing of the preview can all feed into determining the best search results through authority and semantic methods. This note was inspired by +David Amerland 's book, Google Semantic Search.
