After a few hectic weeks, first our three locations for the Dartmoor Series then of course the biggie the bungee jump.
So the boys (Hoof and Horace) have decided to wind down and get ready for Christmas.
This for Horace is his first Christmas with us and his excitement level is almost uncontainable, in fact the boys have gone off to do some Christmas shopping. No doubt they will come back with lots to report on.
I decided to go north of Bude to case up a location for something I have in mind to photograph. However conditions were not right to access what I was after.
So not to waste an opportunity I improvised and thought you may like to see this end of day scene that greeted me at this location.
Just to put you all in the picture there is a GCHG station along the cliffs from here which is well known for its eavesdropping, and they must have clocked that I was up to something😂 as on the way home when I attempted to report back you could hear the clicks on my phone line (yes hands free of course) they were on to us, so we started talking in code, you know the sort of thing “ the signal is rubbish along here” then the line went dead.
So with a cunning plan I redialed after I rounded a left hand bend going away from the sea and we had lost them, all things being equal there will be more on this, nod nod wink wink
Thank you so much for viewing my photos I really appreciate it and of course your comments.🐎🐷😎😂😂
One of the fascinations for me when out and about with the camera is the real characters I have a knack of bumping into.
As I rocked up at this beach, I started to engage in conversation with a really sensible lady and her dog. Well the dog did not actually say anything as its owner did not give it a chance to get a word in edge ways. She basically told me her life story plus some of the experiences she had of being cut off on a couple of occasions by the unpredictable tides here.
What a brilliant start to the evening, then as I went down to get some shots of the sea, the sky started to colour up, what could possibly top all of this.
On the way home I called into a supermarket to use the men’s room and I could not believe this piece of poetry some wag had written on the wall. It could only happen to me !
One evening in November
As I will sure remember
I was walking down the street in drunken pride
And I lay there in the gutter
My feet was all a shutter
And a pig came on and lay there by my side
As I lay there in the gutter
Thinking thoughts I should not utter
A person passing by did softly say
You can tell a man who boozes
By the company he chooses
And this the pig got up
And quickly walked away.
I rest my case🙈🐷🐎🍺🍺🍺😂😂😂
Thank you so much for viewing my photos, hope you enjoy them as much as I do taking them.
The comments you leave are so appreciated.
Wolverine is a mutant who possesses animal-keen senses, enhanced physical capabilities, three retracting bone claws on each hand and a healing factor that allows him to recover from virtually any wound, disease or toxin, at an accelerated rate. The healing factor also slows down his aging process, enabling him to live beyond a normal human lifespan. His powerful healing factor enabled the supersoldier program Weapon X to bond the near-indestructible metal alloy adamantium to his skeleton and claws without killing him.
Found another use for those great old school lego lighting systems! ; ) yes its real not an effect!

Classic 57 Chevy project car that was originally a popular multi-year test bed for performance goods in the pages of Popular Hot Rodding magazine. Found it at the Memphis Super Chevy event in 2008.
A simple detail in front of a beautiful waterfall. Normaly nobody cares about it. I was looking for such a detail as a puzzle for my big "ProjectX".
I wish you a very nice evening and thanks for coming.

What would have been an unremarkable scene at the time at Ayr shed in August 1967, Charlie Cross thankfully had the forethought to include a diesel brake tender in his photograph. Behind is a Sulzer Type 2, a railbus used at the time on Ayr to Kilmarnock shuttle services and 350hp shunter D3414, minus rods and looking to have received works attention. Colour close-up images of diesel brake tenders in the original green livery are few and far between.

Ok, so this is happening again.
After I finished the project in 2012. I decided to take a break from the stress of coming up with an idea, setting up, shooting and editing to get a picture up every day.
I quickly realised I missed it though.
I figured I would do a few series, to fill in that gap. Unfortunately though, with out that pressure to produce something, I got lazy and hardly used my camera at all shooting just over 3,000 compared to the 12,000 in 2012.
As the year went on I realised the project had a tremendous influence on my health and confidence. A few months before I started the project in 2012 I was obese, by the start of the project I was overweight. Many people don't like there picture taken because they don't like the way they look. I am no exception, but it gave me the motivation I needed to change my appearance. While I haven't slipped back to being overweight, I am not where I want to be.
The confidence came mostly from being more content with my appearance, but also having a feeling of accomplishment "I can do that" and simply having something to talk about when people ask "What's new with you".
So if you read all that and understood it, you must be pretty awesome.
AND seeing that you are awesome, you should help me out with photo ideas. The more photo ideas I have the less you'll see of those cats I have. Please don't suggest I take a picture of a light post though, unless it's got girls dancing on it, or you've wrapped your drift car around it (don't do that) it's not really interesting enough... plus I did it in the last project, twice.

My train stops here everyday on the way home. It's great, because this time of year you can see the fog roll in over the hills. Here is my second attempt to capture the fog.
