I stared at this screen so long today, it is etched in my brain

Soaking up the sun.

Dieses Wochenende ist Barcamp in München . Die Sessions sind so bunt und unterschiedlich wie die Teilnehmer dieser Unkonferenz. Yellow Swallowtail

Beetroot lentil and mushroom with enough peppered tuna to choke a goat.

The crazy weather around here ruined all the outdoor ideas I had last night, but lalter in the evening the sky turned a really interesting color of gold so me and Lucy sat and watched the rain

120/366 - I think the mother bird abandoned the nest :( I haven't seen her in a while. Also, instead of three blue eggs, there is now 1 blue egg and 1 speckled egg. Interesting.

Friday night we met up with some friends at Jimmy D's in Arlington Heights for some brews, food, and the Cubbies. Betsy (yes, same name! Sweet!) is on the left and Nadia is on the right. The Cubbies are in the background. They lost. Jerks! Cam, Joe, and Melissa (and Steve of course!) were also there. I hadn't seen Melissa in a year or something crazy. It was fun to see her. It stormed like crazy outside but I had a cheeseburger to keep me safe. The french fries by the way? Out of this world. It was a great Friday night.

Image of Solid Snake in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. He's my favorite character to play as and it humors me immensely to see a "realistic" style character in a game with Mario and Kirby and the like.

Anchovies and pasta - lunch

This is our favorite restaurant, in Herndon, VA. Best family-oriented restaurant anywhere in the DC Metro area.

In the bedroom, where else?

Devon attracts lots of hugs and kisses.

If there's anything I enjoy less than receiving performance appraisals, it's giving them.

115/365- Today my class along with Dana's class made ice cream in a ziploc bag. We had been studying changes in matter, so of course we had to relate it to food. This poor child ended up eating it too fast and getting a brain freeze. No injuries, tears, or spills...all in all a good day!

112/366 - These are my favorite flowers, but they are sooo dramatic. We had a small cold snap and they got all droopy. Once we brought them inside and watered them, they perked right up.

I couldn't resist these colorful socks. My students were waiting to put on their roller blades for gym. So cute!

Out of inspiration, and trying to chase the cat down because she was all wound up and running all over the house, doing backflips and all sorts of other crazy stunts, she managed to lay down for a minute and I snapped a few, but nothing really great, so I set the camera on the ground and was thinking and just pushed the shutter button down and it focused and clicked, and voila

something way better than what I could have thought up tonite :P
