Have you ever seen a bigger dork on a bike? I didn't think so. I went riding at Independence Grove which is part of the forest preserves in Lake County. I was trying to be cool and interesting and savvy and set it up so my camera would take a picture while sitting on the bench. The plan was I would ride past on my bike. Of course, ten seconds isn't quite as long as you might think. I was scrambling to get on the bike when my foot slipped and I fell forward. So this was the picture I got. It perfectly sums me up, I think. I love it. Dork! My bike ride was absolutely gorgeous. I got some nice pictures which are up in my stream. I do love Lake County.
This week the gardeners started back to work, along with many volunteers who have offered to help as part of our annual Spring Clean-up. We had a few rakes to spare...
I hosted the family for "Christmas Eve" Dinner this evening, and the younger generation decided it would be fun to hide my Grinches while I wasn't looking. Happily, once I discovered the Grinch-napping, I was able to quickly reunite these creatures.
Had a beautiful sunset yesterday evening, just after a thunderstorm had subsided. The colors were incredible...

I've eaten in this restaurant several times, and I still don't know what it's called. The font they use for the logo is so difficult to make out, I just call it the squiggle restaurant.
3/266 Yee haw! It took him and my husband a little while to perfect this move *just right* so Dom could lift his arm and saw "yeehaw!"
This evening I compiled some sort of a guest list for my wedding. I never imagined it would be so difficult. We also have decided on a different church for my wedding. I spoke with the priest last night about the kind of ceremony we would like. That now makes me change my mind as to what kind of dress I want. Before I had a very simple dress picked out for a small, simple, ceremony in a chapel. Now, my wedding is in a huge church so I feel like I have to have a much fancier dress.
At the pond's edge of the Norton Simon Museum garden in Pasadena, CA, is one of my favorite sculptures — "River" by Aristide Maillol.

Eve did 'dancesport' during the term and learnt a few dances. They had a performance for the parents. Well done Eve !
72/366 - Some days I love my job. I teach English and Dance. I am teaching Movement for Athletes right now and since it has been so gorgeous here (high 70s, low 80s), I decided we were going to go outside for a walk. That counts as cardio, right? We got back a little early and I snapped this photo of the clouds while they were playing ultimate frisbee. It makes me itchy for the end of school, though.
