Quarta-feira eu fui sofrer um pouquinho na dentista! Mas ela me deu uma ótima notícia.. Vou tirar a parte de baixo do aparelho em março e a parte de cima em abril ou junho! Agora sim estou feliz *-*
Claire was out for dinner tonight, and Violet and I were excited upon her return home. Maybe Violet expressed her excitement more than me, but still.
I don't have a lot of luck growing things underground, but today it was quite the accomplishment to pick some purple sweet potatoes!

I recently discovered a recipe for making creamy scrambled eggs and the secret ingredient is corn starch! I never would have imagined that about a 1/2 tsp per egg whipped with a 1/2 Tbls of cream per egg would give you soft, creamy delicious scrambled eggs.

First day of November. I can't really explain why this is on my kitchen counter, but it is. It's something of Claire's.
It's still 90 degrees here and doesn't feel like Autumn, but there's one tree in my neighborhood whose leaves change color this time of year

Shot this when we were taking our Christmas tree down tonight. I was fooling around w/ the manual focus on my 35 mm lens (I've always used autofocus) and I liked how it turned out w/ Lily being slightly out of focus and of course the Christmas tree bokeh.
Wandering, looking for Pokemon. The new app gave me a great excuse (reason) to get the kids out in search of new and awesome Pokemon to train. At first, they were disappointed not to find any epic critters. Then they settled into the forest scene and realized the adventure was the destination. And the treasures became a fluffy dandelion and burbling water and a happy puppy which was with me while walking (so no phones were dropped into the ditch). We talked about going a bit, stopping to check, then going a bit. Anika has a phone and Ian is playing on my phone. Safety first! And the kids were delighted to discover this trail so close to home! Who knew we needed Pokemon to inspire exploration? :)
