One-and-a-half years and counting with progressive nerve and muscle disease to my lower legs. My feet have become strangers to me. They have a hard time holding me up and they don't do what I tell them to do. They have slowed me down but I will continue stomping the beaches and jungles of Saipan for as long as I can. I can now go for a couple hour hike on the weekend and then spend all my free time during the week in bed with my computer looking at the pictures I took on my previous hike. Taking pictures has become more important to me after I became disabled. My photography is not great, I just point and click, but I feel that the subjects of my pictures are important. I have lots of pictures and videos that I would like you to see and I would like to hear from you. Thank you.
On Tuesday, February 14, representatives from a coalition of over 30 environmental and progressive groups delivered more than 800,000 messages to Senator Reid and Senator McConnell urging them to block attempts to resurrect the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline.
The messages were collected as part of a 24-hour drive to send the Senate more than half a million messages opposing the pipeline. The 500,000 message goal was surpassed in just 7 hours.

Laboratory studies are unremarkable. Imaging studies demonstrate a poorly defined, homogeneous, low-density mass without contrast enhancement within the cerebellum. Patient undergoes neurosurgical resection of the mass, seen below. Which of the following histologic findings, if present, would suggest a pilocytic astrocytoma?

Along the way to Progressive Field, the Guardians Of Traffic Statue Stands 43 feet tall above the Hope Memorial Bridge in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. The Hope Memorial Bridge, which spans across the Cuyahoga River, was built in 1932. Two towering pylons flank each side of the bridge with winged figure statues carved from Berea sandstone by the Ohio Cut Stone Company in Little Italy. Each guardian holds a different vehicle in his hand, representing the history of ground transport. Prints are available at DaleKincaid.com.

When Swedish drummer Martin Lopez (ex-OPETH, AMON AMARTH) joined forces with metal bassist extraordinaire Steve DiGiorgio (SADUS, TESTAMENT, DEATH, ICED EARTH), vocalist Joel Ekelöf and guitarist Kim Platbarzdis in a brand new project called SOEN, it was obvious that this collaboration would not be just another name-dropping, substance-deprived “super project”.
Martin Lopez has described the band's music as "melodic, heavy, intricate and different." Even then, Lopez may be selling his band short. SOEN is, in a word, unique.
The foursome paint their musical canvas with broad strokes that on first listen may appear gray and sullen, but the true power of the music lies clandestine, just a little below the monochrome surface. More than just a sum of is rather esteemed parts, SOEN weave an intricate network of melodies and lull the listener submerged in a bliss of melancholy. Yes, at times Soen may resemble the Opeth of old, but it makes more of less, as it features none of the guttural vocals and full-on death metal wall of sound of Lopez' former group. But nothing more is needed when Ekelöf's somber voice, Platbarzdis's transcendent guitar work, Lopez's trademark drum beats and DiGiorgio's exquisite bass lines collaborate to build a pensive tide, just waiting to wash over you.
“Cognitive” sure isn't an instantaneously accessible album but with a bit of listener patience, it can prove to be one of the most rewarding pieces of “thinking man's metal” you will ever come across. In a world full of super-compressed albums waging the loudness war, “Cognitive” breathes with ease thanks to the masterful mixing work of David Bottrill (Tool, Smashing Pumpkins, Muse etc.). Like rain on a windowpane; translucent and free of form, “Cognitive” breathes like a living entity.
The colors are there, lingering within the grays. It's just up to you to find them.

Rock band with roots in Southern California and Japan formed in 2012. Their sound weaves together crunching guitar riffs, progressive bass lines, lush harmonies, and complex melodic structures in songs that reflect both angst and optimism in an increasingly interconnected world of disconnected residents.

Lolita Dark was also invited by NAMM 2015 to host a panel to talk about their success in finding a niche in independent music market.
Lolita Dark is working on their third release while they perform as an opener to national acts from Japan, and headlines local clubs and anime convention circuits.

Lolita Dark's second album, “Queen's Decade”, was released in the spring of 2014 at their opening performance for Gacharic Spin (Universal Music) at Tekko 2014.

Bernard "Bernie" Sanders (born September 8, 1941) is the junior United States Senator from Vermont.
Sanders is the longest-serving independent in U.S. congressional history. A self-described democratic socialist, he favors policies similar to those of social democratic parties in Europe, particularly those instituted by the Nordic countries. He caucuses with the Democratic Party and has been the ranking minority member on the Senate Budget Committee since January 2015.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Sanders attended Brooklyn College before transferring to and graduating from the University of Chicago. While a student, he was a member of the Young People's Socialist League and active in the Civil Rights Movement as a protest organizer for the Congress of Racial Equality and the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee. In 1963, he participated in the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom.
Sanders settled in Vermont in 1968, and ran unsuccessfully for Governor and U.S. Senator in the early to mid-1970s as a member of the Liberty Union Party. As an independent, Sanders was elected mayor of Burlington, Vermont's most populous city, in 1981. He was reelected to three more two-year mayoral terms before being elected to represent Vermont's at-large congressional district in the United States House of Representatives in 1990. He served as a congressman for 16 years before being elected to succeed the retiring Republican-turned-independent Jim Jeffords in the U.S. Senate in 2006. In 2012, he was reelected by a large margin, capturing almost 71% of the popular vote.
Since his election to the Senate, Sanders has emerged as a leading progressive voice on issues such as income inequality, universal healthcare, parental leave, climate change, LGBT rights, and campaign finance reform. He rose to national prominence on the heels of his 2010 filibuster of the proposed extension of the Bush-era tax rates for the wealthy. Sanders is also outspoken on civil rights and civil liberties, and has been particularly critical of mass surveillance policies such as the USA PATRIOT Act, as well as racial discrimination in the criminal justice system. He has long been critical of U.S. foreign policy, and was an early and outspoken opponent of the Iraq War.
Sanders is a candidate for the Democratic Party's nomination for President in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
