Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a blue day at Color my world Daily and the theme at Looking close on Friday is Progression in Size. As you can see, in my picture, I decided to go with few pencils since I have so many of those … in different colors and seizes. And, I must admit it is one of my favourite subjects. If you look at my progression in size from left to right it perfectly illustrates the state of my bank account. And if you look at it from right to left: you have the progression in size of my weight. Knowing that, I must :1) resist all the Black Friday’s temptations (FYI : once again this year it is a major fail for me, my Zara basket is full) and 2) not forgot to run my 10km today. See you later my friends !!
Mucho, mucho amor for you my friends !! Have a beautiful day !!!
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!! And see you soon on Flickr !
“Now in the wood there lived a family of three bears. The first was a Great Big Bear, the second was a Middling-Sized Bear, and the third was a Little Teeny-Tiny Bear, and they all lived together in a funny little house and were very happy… until one fateful day.” – Goldilocks; or the Three Bears by Madame D’Aulnay
The theme for "Looking Close on Friday" on the 24th of November is "progression in size" where I have to photograph a minimum of three objects of the same shape in different sizes. Although I have many things I could photograph, including sets of graduating jugs, I immediately thought of my Three Bears Matryoshka dolls. These Matryoshka dolls were hand made and painted in Russia. I acquired them from Babushka’s, a little shop in Melbourne’s Royal Arcade that specialised in Matryoshka dolls, amber jewellery and other pieces of traditional Russian arts and crafts. When I saw these three, being a lover of faerie tales, and bears, I had to have them! It’s just as well I bought them, for not long after that, Coronavirus arrived and Babushka’s, like so many other interesting small businesses in the heart of Melbourne, fell victim to our seemly endless lockdowns. Still, I have these three, and many other treasures from there to remind me of the colour and vibrance of Babushka’s. I hope you like my choice for the theme this week, and that it makes you smile.
We were sweeping up leaves in our local park yesterday so I found some different sized leaves for the theme Progression in Size for Looking Close on Friday.

Have a good Friday and stay safe and healthy.🌸
Many thanks for all your views, faves and comments.
My grandparents operated a grocery store in which they used these weights (and a few bigger "brothers"). After years of use, they weren't of use anymore as modern scales took over. A few years ago they reappeared and I gave them a nice place in my house. They are a precious memory of my grandparents, aunts, and a time that has passed.
Thank you for your views, faves and comments, they are all much appreciated!
Bought a collection of various coinage a few weeks ago which was the only thing I had to hand for this challenge!

Dear friends, for the theme of this week I decided to experiment by using a tilt-shift adapter. I tilted the focal plane to follow the cubes and, with the shift movement, I tried to correct a bit the perspective distortion.
The final effect is a bit weird, but I found it funny, therefore I decided to share it.
I hope that you will like the result. Have a nice Friday! 🙋♂️
