"Poetry and progress are like two ambitious men who hate one another with an instinctive hatred, and when they meet upon the same road, one of them has to give place.”

...because we as humans, especially americans, are at the forefront and always moving forward!
right?
(sometimes i wonder)
Like millions of others, I spent the afternoon waiting to see America's first manned spaceflight mission in nine years.
Unfortunately it was scrubbed because of weather but it was still awesome to see so many others get excited for the event.

thought i would update you on the status of the barn slump since it's been a while. this former edifice is not so much abandoned as it is neglected. and i think looks more so with the foliage than in B&W, actually.

Keller Farm, Plainfield, Illinois. To paraphrase Bob Dylan "..not gonna work on Keller's farm no more".
It looks like another trail is in the making at the park in Bristol, Tennessee where I had a really great time with friends and had a very profitable photo shoot. Although nature was the most abundant thing in this forest area, the evidence of man's intervention was all around. I liked the orange red colors of this machine and how it popped against the green leaves.
This one was spotted on the last leg of our walk around the river area. I wondered what they were planning to do with it....
Amaryllis bud making progress toward it's hopeful full flower date sometime around Christmas. I plan to post a photo of that flower when it does appear.
Well... she wasn't supposed to look so young, she will appear "older" depending on your enb and lighting conditions. I am so bad at creating mature characters :(
Since I haven't been able to give her a custom voice despite all the times I tried, I have decided to give her her own little home where she can be found!

As our week in Ohio progressed, word reached us that the Ohio Central local that worked from Zanesville, OH to Cambridge, OH could possibly have the last 2 remaining OHCR painted "Super7's". As Friday got closer, dad made some calls and found out that it was likely to happen. We got up early that morning and left Canton well before sunrise for the 2 hour ride to Zanesville . We met up with the crew and dad and I talked with them, and they gave us the scoop for the whole day. It was another really good day hanging out with our friends, getting many great shots of the 2 old painted units on the old B&O mainline. Here OHCR "Super 7's" B23-7R 4092-4093 are shown on passing the former B&O station and railroad buildings in downtown Cambridge, OH on August 8, 2019.
Work in Progress for a new build from 22769 ~ [Bauwerk]: A Victorian Garden Folly. The Garden Folly will be released beginning May for Fameshed. Hope you like it.
I'm trying to get as many pictures of the few remaining old barns, sheds, and structures in Kernersville. Many new businesses are springing up rather quickly and places like this are being quietly destroyed in the name of progress.
Hey partner the star is in progress I still have to do the large points. What do you think of the fabrics so far?
